Any secondary with the inexperience we have inexperience all over the defense is going to struggle and make mistakes. I'm telling you we are more talented than we have been and by the end of the year it will be a strength. This is normal. The O and the veteran QBs turning the ball over was bad the back ups are horrible they have to much experience to justify that performance but the secondary is going to have growing pains. They will be fine by the end of the year.

Blind people can see the 49ers need help with qb depth.

I don't remember the 49ers having this bad of a preseason during the Harbaugh era. The two area that were especially bad are QB play behind Kap and the secondary. The secondary looked confused, were dragged around, were out of position, were slow to react, and blew coverages. 49er defense is known for discipline and great tackling. I've seen neither this preseason. Each of the 3 backup QBs turned the ball over at least once and couldn't find a receiver to save their lives.

Dial and Carradine have flashes of decent play. The borland wilhiete combo is horrible. We need Brooks back sooner than later too.

The only 2 things i liked about todays outing was:

1.The play of Bruce Ellington this kid is a gem, he is impressive in every aspect of the game. This kid has a very bright future ahead of him.

2.Besides the Bethea injury our boys came out this game in one piece.

While the loss is disappointing . . . . and laying a big egg in a debut of the 49ers in the new stadium is a twist of the knife. . . . its preseason. What I dont want is the team to lose their first game in the stadium in the regular season. What comes across your mind when you see the Cowboys run out at AT&T Stadium?? Yeah ya lost your first game there to the Giants. Every time I see that AT&T Stadium I think about the Cowboys losing. Win the first game guys. Otherwise its the first thing I think about everytime I see the place.

Any secondary will look bad if the defense is playing without several key players in the front 7. Justin Smith, Ray McDonald, Willis Etc.
