Liked watching CK check down after looking down field. Didn't like all the back up QBs lacking fundamentals.

I recently watched his epic game against Boise St. and he had some real clean dump-off/screens.

I just don't think they have been enamored with the guys available late and you usually don't draft one early when you have a quality starter. I do think they have fallen into a trap where they can repeat what they did for Alex though...and they need to stop that, some guys just suck and you can't coach it away.
Quickly watched the right side of our OL for the first half. I gotta say, we found our RG and swing-T and a new younger, cheaper Snyder.

WRATH and I will post later with more details but Looney and Martin had OUTSTANDING games (Martin was damn near flawless the entire first half). And when Looney was replaced, the versatile Seymour came in to play RG (played terrific at RT last week against the Ravens). Seymour looked just as good at RG as well.

PS: Another guy who's going to make this team is Derek Carrier (H-Back).

So some good news here for sure.
We need to sign either Pryor or Daniels if/when one of them gets waived onto the practice squad. They're both quality players that could come in if we heed them to.
Is it just me or is Kilgore terrible? I saw him get thrown around like a rag doll against the ravens and didn't do much better today.. That's my biggest concern assuming Boone comes back.

Bethea hasn't looked like he's better than or even equal to whitner. Idk what baalke is doing.. Like many people have said on here it's only preseason but there is something wrong with this team.. Everyone looks out of sync.

this doesn't fall in line with my "kwame harris 2.0" claim, this upsets me

Just copy and paste these responses every preseason, they are damn near identical.

I saw him give up one pressure....maybe I missed another but that isn't terrible

Hardly any starters have played, at all.

Not sure I'm sold on that. Most other offensive starters in the league have in their limited appearances fared better than the 49ers.
Must admit that I'm more than a little concerned about the misses that Kaepernick had today.

Eh. From what I saw today, Kap is one of my least concerns. Could've had more touch on those some of his fastballs but I did like that he was going thru his progressions consistently and throwing more check down passes.

Uh yeah ...Kap and the few starters that got snaps played fine. Two of those misses on big plays, I bet strongly are made in regular season...there wasn't a lot of laying out for balls or going up with two hands going on. I loved seeing him going through progressions and other the high heat to Crabs who normally handles it fine everything had good touch on it. Hyde and Gore both looked great, starting O'line played well and we only played half of the starting D. Seriously guys the sky isn't falling.

Exactly, Kap wasn't at all the problem today. Now these other QBs on the roster...Yowza ! Absolutely putrid. None are NFL caliber QBs - backup or whatever. I actually think that their awfulness is making the team look worse than it is. When the QB can't hit the side of a barn or sustain a drive, keeps the defense on the field longer and makes the offense as a whole look sloppy. Not all that surprised about Gabbert but more disappointed in Johnson. Gabbert looks dreadful but Johnson isn't doing anything to pull away and take the job from him . Legitimately concerned about the back up QBs.

I know it doesn't mean anything but being dominated like this when we have had so many draft picks and how our team is supposed to have started this system of redshirting players to have an amazing roster in the future.. and this is what we have to show for it? it feels different. hopefully we see something to hang our hat on next week
Anybody else think we need to give Kap like 2 quarters of play so the WR/TE can get some meaningful catches and practice? All Gabbert/Johnson/MBT are doing is wasting time and taking away from the important people getting into rhythm. All the starters need to be on the same page come week 1 to help the D.

very well, if we drafted a QB he might look good enough to be a #2 in a couple years. not this year.

Said it in the Kap thread, I am hoping for the traditional 3rd game dress rehearsal. Make sure the machine is well oiled before we hit the regular season.
