Todays game was good news as far as Dial and Tank go. That's all I need to consider this day a plus. I really liked what I saw from them. Our backup QB spot is BAD but I'm expecting Kap to stay in the pocket more this season anyway.

I'd take Tebow or Sanchez over Gabbert any day. s**t, I'd take Ken Dorsey and Cody Pickett over Gabbert.

Agree. We had no problem trading Jenkins after just 1 year, essentially wasting a 1st round pick and eating up his dead money.

Gabbert should not be guaranteed anything. He has to earn a roster spot.

Same with every team. The issue is if Kap were to miss 3 or 4 games, can we win any with Gabbert? Could be the difference between making the playoffs. Backup QB is important.

Very true. My problem with Gabbert is that there is real film on him from Jacksonville. Granted his supporting cast sucked, but Henne clearly outplayed him and that's troubling. Now he's here and showing the exact same problems, albeit even worse as he's learning a new, complex offense. I don't think he has what it takes.

I'm not saying he'll blow it up or anything but he'll do better if he has to play a real game. Harbaugh knows how to game plan to the QB's strength if he has any.

These are the chances that 40 players get to show their best. They wont have many other chances if they don't shine.

Hell, David Reed may have easily fumbled his way off the roster since he was on the bubble already. Preseason or not, you have to have some of your players stand out who belong. I can easily go down the roster and tell you already who doesn't belong after two games--and many other armchair GMs can too. It was absolutely disgusting seeing the product as a whole we put out there

No I can watch football...

Go back and watch the previous 58 minutes of any Tebow NFL win, then examine whether Tebow won that game or his defense. Tebow is such a good QB they moved him to punt protector and tried him at TE... he must be amazing! Put down the crack pipe buddy and learn2football.
