it was louder than the stick but my buddy & I and others around us wondered if they were pumping crowd noise into the stadium too, cause we got there early and they were testing crowd noise...as in they were playing cheering & what not through the speakers and nothing was going on

Can you describe it to us TV SBL holders
They bring out a portable box with a lever on it. The special guest pulls the lever and the fog horn blows. Jerry Rice was the one who did it against the Bears.

When the Niners play better, the noise will come.

I wonder if there are any videos out there of the foghorn. I haven't been able to find any online.

I was there and the crowd was way too quiet. I think the only time it got actually loud was the kickoff and first series. Also there were a bunch of people cheering like crazy during our 3rd and 4th downs on the final drive on offense. These "fans" seem really apathetic, the guy in front of me kept turning around and giving me dirty looks for making noise when we were on defense. Also the people next to us were asking about the rules of football for the whole game, and left on the 3rd down of the final drive. Nice people, just not real fans. The shiny screens would try to pump up the crowd, and said "STAND UP"..... everyone stayed in their seats. I really hope it gets better

I just don't think 49ers fans are rabid enough. I travelled from Texas two years ago and was cheering loudly on defense and didn't want to sit down. Was asked to sit down by some young chick. I said "are you serious? No, I didn't spend $1,000s to travel to my favorite team to sit in a f**king seat!"

I remember a game I went to a few years ago against the ravens. This old man and his mother got to the game late, in the second quarter, and he introduced himself and his mother. We were chit chatting during the commercial breaks and he asked me to not make any noise and make sudden movements because his mom is very sensitive to noise and sudden movements. I told him that this was a football game and making noise is expected. Anyways, when it was time to get loud, our fan made noise, and that little old lady covered her ears and looked like she was going to die. lmao. She looked so dizzy. Then her son told us to shut up, so then we gave him a hard time. So finally, he took his mother and left our section.

I can tell it has an effect because Kaep has to scream his lungs out to say the play in the huddle when we plays the Seahawks. I'm not asking for our fans to maniacal like the 12th man (even though it would be nice, I know I scream my head off and bang on the seats), I just want the visiting team to feel our fans a little when they play here. Jay Cutler had no probs audibling, making checks, or calling the plays....and I blame that on US fans.
It was electric in the first half but it seemed like the noise level waned as the game wore on. I think the fans ran out of gas because of the constant interruption by penalties and reviews etc, not to mention our crappy play. Nothing to cheer about and then finally stunned silence as we realized we had blown the game and were about to lose...
This right here. It is hard to constantly cheer when flags are being thrown all over the place and reviews are being done. If the game had flowed a little better I think the noise level may have been better. I'll be at the Eagles game so I'll see for myself how this is and anybody that tells me to sit down and be quiet will get a big stfu!

It was not very impressed with the noise the other night. There were also a lot of empty seats at the end of the game

I wasn't that impressed with the noise, tbh. One dude switched with his buddy because I was yelling too much. Too many people were there drinking and hanging out like it was a social event. Or just chilling out on their handheld devices. The first half was pretty decent but it really fell off in the second half.
Hopefully once the initial glamor wear off and regular fan show up it'll get louder.
