I'm just amazed that this guy keeps playing better every game. He just has instincts that are incredible for a rookie.
He has outplayed Wilhoite so far IMO. I hope we get to see this guy play along side Bowman this season.

Yeah what an idiot. I can't believe he didn't think about that in the split second he had to secure that drive ending interception

Once & If Bowman does come back from injury just like the Niners did today they have to put the best 11 players on the field & right now its Borland. It would be smart for the Niners to start both Bowman & Borland together. Wilhoite has done a decent job but right now Borland is out playing him. Just like Fangio did today with benching Brooks for Aldon & keeping Lynch out there the same approach should be taken if we get Bowman back.
The kid is the real deal i still remember when i saw Bucky Brooks mock draft i laughed about this pick i thought the man was insane. Who looks like the genious now

It was 4th down. Incomplete pass ends the drive on the 10 yard line. INT ends it on the 3 yard line. Which would you rather have in a close game?

Pick definitively ends it, trying to "bat" it down or "tip" it leaves the possibility for one of their WR to catch it. Which would you rather have happen?

When you're playing on the football field, especially when you're at the goal line, you're just trying to get the ball back. In the heat of the moment, I don't think he was really able to weigh the pros and cons of ending the drive that way. And in the end it had no impact on the game, so I'm willing to give the kid a break

Imagine what we could do next year...switch to 4-3 and get Willis/Bowman/Borland all on the field. Aldon and Lynch as the DEs...
