Yeah. Well this pick has certainly confirmed for me that Baalke is an awesome GM and perhaps more important than Harbaugh to this team. If Ward comes back next year and starts, then I think we can say this is his best draft ever

Borland looked so bad during the preseason. I'm very, very impressed with the progress he's made this season. He really should be a defensive rookie of the year candidate. He's all over the field and making plays consistently. I know Willis and Bowman are both potential hall of famers, but damn it would be hard to sit Borland next year when they're both back healthy. He plays with a ferocity I haven't seen in a while.

I don't even think he looked that bad in the preseason. He looked like a rookie that was thinking too much at times and arriving at the ball just a second too late. I knew once he caught up to the speed of the game that he'd be a gamer and he showed improvement game by game.

But shouldn't we have traded the Borland pick (along with the Aaron Lynch pick) to move up and get a number one receiver? Isn't that what Baalke should've done?
