I disagree. You make the OL better, you give him a legit RB, his numbers go up and he plays much better. He's already on pace this season to best Kap's career best. And the difference in personnel is staggering. If Kap can take us to the Super Bowl with a great team around him, there's zero reason Gabbert can't.

The biggest argument for Kap was that nobody could do better with the personnel he had. Well, Gabbert did better, with worse personnel.

Best Kaep's career best what?
the question now is...

how much is Gabbert worth now (after the season) since he's in his contract year...
I had a customary change of heart,Gab is our man for 2016

The only substantial change was in the last game when Brown started and Pears slid into guard.

The move to Kilgore at center was also better in the last game but in the two prior his PFF grades were only slightly better than Martin's better games.

Also, Gabbert never had a healthy Celek. He has gone with McDroppsies and rookie Bell.

Draughn was a lucky find but not better than Hyde, plus it took him a while to get the protections down.

Lots of ground already covered here. Gabbert is just a better fit right now.

Yes would be nice to have Celek, but I think the Oline changes were just as, if not more important.

Gabbert has looked better, but they both had awful supporting casts

Sorry but the first post was b******t. The most important change was Tiller starting at guard instead of Devey, which did not occur until after Kap was benched. Kap had to play behind Pears, Martin and Devey in the worst OLine in living memory against the better defenses on our schedule. That's why the guy was broken.

Now play a gif of Staley getting beat. That'll convince us that Staley isn't much better than Devey either. Lmao

Trust me I know, I just didn't wanna deal with it last night. It is pretty funny though that he says we only made substantial changes last week when the most substantial change was sitting the guy that had people questioning Bradys career.

He talks about how much more talented Hyde is, but that doesn't really matter if he didn't produce outside of week 1.

Talks about Blaine dealing with McDropsies, but never mentions Kap having to work with Vernon. Vance drops the ball, but gives effort. Vernon drops the ball, and was giving no effort. Which one would you take?

The best part is that the majority of people that latched themselves to a mediocre checkdown king because of CK, are allowing Colin to make them make the same mistake again.

You are not convinced that Tiller is bad. So you are convinced a practice squad player that was cut by 3 teams, including the Niners, is good at left guard after ..what 7 games. Lolz

Actually, there are people that were convinced Gabbbert had a good guard the minute Tiller took over .Lmao They didnt wait 7 games.

So you are saying the the gif shows that he can be bad.

Im saying one gif is a really stupid way to try to prove something. Tiller is bad, but he has been an improvement over Devey

It shows how bad he can be, so he's still bad. And Gabbert still has to deal with a bad guard in Tiller.

I think the extreme hatred for Kaep has really frigged with people's heads. Remember when Vance's drops were blamed on CK? Remember when Vernon's poor play was blamed on Kaep? What about the line (without Kilgore and the other changes that were made)....Kaep's fault. Funny how no one want's Geep now. Though he was great just weeks ago and was being held back by Kaep because he had to dumb down the offense. Remember Torrey being wasted with Kaep?

We have the absolute WORST fans when it comes to this. Now Blaine is going to get the benefit of the doubt after doing NOTHING in his entire career over a guy who has played at a high level when the team was actually functional. LMAO. Some fans really do deserve this coaching staff and this stupid ownership.
