I wouldn't let gab on the field with the OL we currently have. Nor any other qB we might think of keeping. Doing that is just asking for a qB injury and sure as the sun comes up in the east, it is going to happen again. Pears, martin, devey.....those guys cannot be on the field if gab plays QB. They are endangerig a qbs good health by making him play behind those guys.

Go look up JTO's first 3 games as a 9er...pretty good. Then reality set in and...dumpster fire.

There was a time when people here thought the line was adequate and the QB was the reason why the line was so bad. Everything was blamed on the QB. A least now more people are seeing just how terrible the line is. One QB got injured and career is now in limbo...I can't see Gabbert staying healthy.

No, everyone knew the OL sucked, but the QB wasn't helping matters.

While Gabbert played well in his first couple of starts, I tried not to get too excited because a lot of backup quarterbacks look good when they first step in only for their level of performance to drop as teams start game-planning for them. Unfortunately, the same thing seems to hold true for Blaine. He's getting progressively worse with every match he plays.

That is true. The oline is, and was, terrible. But so was the play behind center.
