im just being a bit over critical and looking at this game through a vacuum

Why overcritical???

Did you do that when Kap was in??

And why hasn't anyone taken into account that both teams looked slowed at time because both coaching staffs knew each other quite well???

Fangio and Chryst had a chess match and Geep won.

I bet you if the Bears won everyone and their mama would be bringing up this aspect. Straight hypocrites man. Unreal.

Geep put the 49ers in a position to lose but Gould bailed him out and then Gabbert came through strong at the very end.
Geep doesn't deserve any praise IMO.

Blaine is a servicable backup - thats it. He's a lot better than what he showed in Jacksonville and might let the team actually pick a QB at a later round, who shows promise, but is not worth of an early round pick. That will allow the team to shore up some other things, like the O-Line, the D-Line and some lB help, while getting the true next QB of the niners. But he's not the long term solution, and lets get used to it.

i agree i may be nitpicking but id hardly say fangio wont he chess match we did not move the ball well im happy we won and if you look at my post i do agree gabbert is a very good short term solution but to me he hasnt proven he can be the long term solution

my only critique is we are not moving the ball efficiently

gabbert has started 3 games now we are averaging 15.7 first downs per game in last 3 games thats 3rd worst in nfl and in that same span we are averaging 14.8 ppg which is ranked 24th

those are huge improvments to what it was before but if gabbert were to start over a 16 game season i dont have faith he will take us to playoffs

We also have 2 RBs off the street...our top 3 TEs coming into the season are either gone or hurt and our C and RT are still turnstyles.

Jordan Devey had Tom Brady making people think that he was done as a player. I mentioned that before in here and idk if people understand that fully. People thought Brady. Was. Done.

If Hyde was healthy I am almost certain this would be a completely different offense...hell it already is with just the QB switch.

It's ridiculous. I think most fans come to the boards especially during a s**tty season to talk to people going through the same s**t. Whether it is to vent or talk about the bright spots on the roster. Yet there will always be the miserable few who have to attempt to get a rise out of everyone with their ridiculous posts. Whether or not u like gabbert he is our qb and is playing the position well and he even offers a glimmer of hope for the future. But the same miserable haters attempt to ruin the spirits of fellow fans with there seemingly pointless arguments or by hanging onto the past. Right now we are lucky to have gabbert on this team because if he wasn't I could only imagine. Stop hating and support your team and the guys who play hard. Gabbert at least should have your respect for what he has done and gone through

I respect what Gabbert has been through and I was excited about the throw to win the game but I am not sure the guy is the answer.

It's a damn joke. There is another 100 reasonable things to b***h about besides the qb at this point. Name ONE player on offense that is outperforming gabbert at this point. I'll wait

Why can't he be a long term solution? He's showing you every game he can be a starter, even with horrible personnel around him...
I'll say this. Gabbert may not have had the best stat day but at the end of the day, he put this team on his shoulders and found a way to win it, didn't he? The guy showed mental toughness and this is a welcome change from our previous QB.

Horrible personnel? Staley didn't do well last game, but he's a top-10 LT. Boone is a decent-to-above-average guard. Torrey is a quality deep threat. Boldin is a nearly-HoF possession receiver.

How ignorant does this sound?? Seriously.

Geep put us in a position to lose??

You mean how his offense scored the tying and winning TD right??

And had to score the winning TD after the ST gave up an inexplicable return on the ensuing kickoff.

But yeah Geep sucks to high hell...let's just run with that narrative now since I can't b***h that the team lost.

People just spit b******t on here because they are mad their favorite people aren't here anymore. s**t is tired as hell. Unbelievable man.

So.... 4 out of 11 guys? Not even half. The rest are second to fourth stringers, some weren't even on a team as of three or four weeks ago...

but Geep does suck. it's been reported the only reason he was retained was to keep some consistency in offense for Kap. now that Kap looks to be on his way out, it's time to get a new OC.

remember this is the same Geep who called a Read Option from our own 1 yard line.
