He lead the drive? He accounted for 14 yards. Hyde more than doubled that production on one run.

Blaine's play was fine last night, he moved the ball and put up 7 points. Nothing great, nothing bad.

He completed 2 passes for 14 yards.

On 3 attempts with 15 yards rushing

It's great he has the athleticism to pick up yards on the ground when needed...that said, he needs to get to the sticks when he can where he's close to help keep the chains moving. Did it quite a few times last year, going out of bounds just a yard or two short of the marker...did it twice last night. Even if it's just a 1st Down run - get the 1st Down again if close and don't take a chance of the drive ending w/ unsuccessful 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Down attempts. Last night, I get it as it's just a preseason game. When the season starts, got to get the 1st Down when close and you can make it on one last lunge, dive, etc. - must keep the chains moving in this type of offense.

Couldn't have said it better myself, my fellow poet.

Thanks.

Kap is the villain they deserve also. What a s**t show in Yorklan. We need a white knight and I don't mean chip Kelly's alter ego.

Why do bad things keep happening to this organization ?

I dunno but it probably has nothing to do with an inexperienced CEO, president and GM.

Fury, I got to hand it to you. I first noted your rancor towards others and your steadfast belief in Kap this past off season. No matter what happened, you stood by your man. I wondered, then, just idly, what would happen if your hero turned out to be a dud...or outright failed. My guess then was that you would first defend Kap to the max, which is fine. But I also wondered if you would lash out, denigrate his competition(gab) , and disparage posts of others who didn't agree with you. And then if things really went bad you would go ballistic and just say anything to make your hero look not so bad, or in your mind, look good.

You did not disappoint, and true to form are doing everything known to posting to support your failed hero. I understand in a way, in that if Joe had done half of what Kap has done, I would have been heartsick. But Kap, and not to his credit, fails and then uses subterfuge, antipathy and disrespect toward our country's anthem. You even attempted to talk that away. But in the end, here you are....dispirited, not wanting to accept that hero is in fact canard. A fake. A shell of his former self. A wunderkind who gave us all hope, but that was based on a great team behind him, O and D, who excelled based on his athleticism , which was incredible. But QB functions....simple QB mechanics...he never worked on those, or if he did it was way too late. Didn't hit the books, hit the weight room. Didn't progress like others in his class, went backwards, until yesterday. And that was when he hit rock bottom. And predictably, you went bonkers, finding fault with others esp gab. Not owning up to the fact that Kap played like dreck. Not accepting this once very good player now....well, now he is reduced to being the 4th best QB on the team, and has started this yr off with his 2014 adn 2015 talents. No more. Just the same. Virtually everyone here sees it, just not you.

I understand that. But had this been Joe, all of us would have been disappointed, but nobody would have said , well it's everybody' else's fault. Not Joe's. Fortunately that never happened. He was too good of a guy to do that. Your guy Kap, is thrashing around. He is no longer NFL caliber. And yet you stand by him and excoriate everyone and everything else. You think there must be another reason. There is wisdom out there that says if you have dug yourself into a hole, well then, it is best to stop digging. Fury, you are there, my man. Good advice...stop digging.

Great advice and thank you for making the effort for a better forum. Fury, olive branches have been extended, let's root for our team.

Indeed. It stings. The truth.

Don't feel bad though, even Trent Baalke believed in Colin Kaepernick once too.

When Baalke gets canned, will you still follow the team? Dude is a glorified scout and you ride him worse than I ride Kaep.

He won't. But if he does, why would I stop being a fan of the team?

Someone sounds real bitter this morning. Understandable. Crow doesn't taste good.

Lol. He's had a tough 24 hours.
