Expecting Gabbert to play like Joe Montana isnt logical either. What's logical in this situation?
Well, hoping our starting QB really steps up while we win some games seems to be the logical position. Cheering for the 49ers starting QB to do well seems like something a 49er fan would dontHoping Chip Kelly can turn this team around seems like the logical position for a 49er fan.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Worse case scenerio we're drafting QB early 2017 and we keep building a good team moving forward. It should be (should be) fun watching all this unfold rather than watching games hoping the starting QB will fail. Pointing out any and all mistakes as if people arent aware of the fact Gabbert has question marks over his head this season. Chip os also a good HC. Much better than Tomsula and better than Harbaugh on offense.
Gabbert won the starting job. He has not won some unquestioned role as the 49ers long term answer at the QB position. Blaine Gabbert deserves an honest shot and he'll get it. I hope he proves us wrong and plays very well this year. It would keep us from having to move up in the draft to land a top QB prospect.
If he does well, great! If not, oh well, we draft QB in 2017.

67% completion rate. Mediocre, but better than the rest of our QBs. Kap was 2/6 for 14 yards. And Driskel 4/8 for 43 yards.

Oh does it now? Most of the better players he has picked are currently on other teams now. Most of the free agents he's picked up are busts recently... With all of the extra picks picks he's had how many of his picks are all pro or pro bowlers? This whole team has been declining for years now, not just the scapegoat. It's his job to evaluate retain and replace talent, he has failed so far in doing that. I'll admit Kap isn't what I thought he was... Can you admit Baalke has declined/failed as well? I don't think I'm the one who looks ignorant here.

You even forty-nine?
Man you know what I mean. You were implying Kelly basically drafted for us this year. I said no, not after what he pulled in Phi and not since he came here with his tail between his legs. Did Baalke bring in guys that would fit his scheme, of course why wouldn't he?
But don't pretend that this draft wasn't 100% signed off of and built by Baalke and only Baalke. His marquee signing of another DB instead of Dak in the fourth is all you need to know, my fellow niner fan. And I will bid you good day, sir.

What is his completion rate throughout the preseason? You know, a bigger sample size? He's thrown 20 passes. How many did he complete?
He should be light years ahead of Kaep and Driskel. Why bring them up?

Just filling in the data you left out. If you want look at the preseason as a whole, and to be fair and honest in your analysis, you should also ask if Kap isn't currently better than the rest, what's the likelihood that will change. We all want 2012 Kap back, but it hasn't happened.
