I agree. Gabbert is not inaccurate, he was 2 for 3 yesterday and 6 for 9 last week, about 60% last year. He reminds me of Alex Smith, a game manager who doesn't make spectacular plays but won't lose the ball thru sacks or interceptions. Kelly has said that's exactly what he wants. He has the potential to do that.
You can't make judgments based on a few plays of the preseason when there is no game planning and only vanilla plays are used.
If you look at the big picture you have a poor passing game with an average QB and lousy receivers, but you also have what could be a strong running game with an improved O-Line and good stable of runners. You also have what should be a much improved defense. You have a solid coaching staff. So there is potential for a significant improvement over last years fiasco.
