i love her but lordy, her and her sister turn into different people when they watch the niners and then they are actually there live at a game one grew up in the montana era and the other in the young era so its always a civil war

Last time we played them our running game got on track after a sub par start to the season.
Hopefully they attempt to stack the box and we get aggressive on first down like we did with allowing Kap to throw on first down against Washington.

Its not that much different. Aside form Stacey and Austin stepping up its the same team, same coaches, and the system has not changed one iota. I'm getting a little tired of hearing it personally. No offense, but IMO this is exactly the same team that got absolutely abused in St. Louis. I'll give the Rams this. They've definitely been playing better football but beating the Colts and Bears both in domes, doesn't really demand respect.

If you're going to use the "this is not the same team" excuse then so are we. Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks are going to have Clemmens running for his life. Crabtree will be playing, and Manningham is coming on as he gets healthy. I think the Rams are in trouble. For all the hype around St. Louis pass rush they had better bring their run game too. The 49ers defense is in a completely different class IMO and all anybody wants to talk about is The Rams pass rush.

You'd be hard pressed to be much more wrong about this statement. The entire scheme has changed. At the first of the year we were attempting to spread teams out and became very 1 dimensional. We had NO running game. Now we're, very successfully, playing more of a ball control offense and, perhaps as importantly, keeping our D off the field so much. I know all teams evolve during each season, but being the youngest team in the league also contributed to the slow start. I think you'll notice a difference on Sunday.

I'm sure your D is improved with starters returning but we put up so little effort that first game it's not like you needed Pro Bowlers. I guess all of this conversation becomes moot on Sunday.

Since the Rams are the youngest team in football and they've turned a corner. They were just starting to play big as a team, running at last, big plays at last, when Bradford was injured. KC came in and they lost by one score in the final seconds to the Hawks (not like the Niners who were crushed). Same for Titans. Then they exploded.

You are absolutely right that they are on a 2 game winning (blowout) streak. This is the real test. Kick ass D on the road. If they pass that test, watch out. If not, see you next season with Bradford and 2 1st round picks.

Same argument as the guy from yesterday...Come on man, we aren't stupid. If you change your name at least change your arguments.

This may be a tight game, so I hope our team will pay special attention to ST play. Tavon Austin must not be allowed to have any big return, and LMJ will hopefully have a couple of big ones.
Also, I hope that the 9ers pass rush that showed up for the WAS game will show up again on Sunday.

Nope, not me at all. I recognize that you were missing players in week 4 but your replacements made those absences easy to overlook. We were simply outplayed in that game. I know your team is not overlooking my Rams but I think fans would be well advised not to either. I don't think we'll be seeing a 35 - 11 type score this time around.

But if your team got better, and our team got better....according to NFL Math, we should still beat you 35-11.

But you obviously feel that because your team is younger, you've had more room to grow thus got better than we did over that same amount of time.

I will argue our passing offense was and is still dead last, with a 3rd year YOUNG quarterback, Therefore, with the return and conditioning of our receiving core, and your banged up RB, we should blow you out even more.

Whatever. RamzFanz is a regular on Ramsondemand, great poster, all around good guy. I'm BigRamFan on each forum I visit. Does it really seem odd to you that we would be making similar arguments? Think about that for a minute.

Austin has been a lot of fun for Rams fans to watch the last few weeks. The thing most non-Ram fans don't know about him is that he has had several big run backs called back this year due to boneheaded penalties. We seemed to have corrected that issue lately. I actually expect at least one big return from him. On the other hand teams have not had so much luck against us in STs. Hopefully, from my perspective at least, that holds true this week as well.

Your pass rush can be formidable but our OL is much better than what you saw against WAS. Since we shuffled things around a bit up front they seem to be playing much more cohesively. Again, I hope that continues to be the case.

The Rams need to get a dose a what the 49ers have been seeing lately. 8-9 men in the box and stuff the run, and dare Clemens to beat them.

No way we will do that. Because we don't have to.

I see an attack of more traditional cover 2 with a few Bowman blitzes to mix things up if we are slow getting pressure with 4. Willis will be in the strong side zone for run support and coverage. We won't have to play any exotic schemes to win one on one battles. When Austin gets hit he goes down and Rogers is savvy enough in coverage and run support to slow down the rookie. Look for Jared Cook to get hit a couple good times and then shut down by Whitner if he pulls in a couple catches over Willis.

I can see Quick hauling in a td if he can beat tight coverage in the redzone, but I wouldn't bet the farm on his athleticism. Only Givens to me is a threat to beat our zone coverage. There won't be much else against our D if Stacy isn't close to 100%.

An interesting argument to be sure. I guess we'll just have to disagree on this one. Sunday will be here before we know it!
Ohhhh yeeahh! You know what day it is?? Do you know what day it is?? Do you know what day it is? Huummmppp daaaay!! Whaaaa whaaaaaa!!
Halfway thru the week and Im so excited, and I just can't hide it. Lehhsss Goooo Niners!! Chheeaaahhh!!
Since there's a lot of statistics flying around in this thread: in the last three games the 9er's defense has ranked first in points per game allowed at 13 PPG.
As far as the Ram's 'blowout' win last week against the Bears, they gave up 420 yards total and 350 yards passing to Josh McCown. So much for the shutdown D nonsense. Now the Ram's did rush for 250+, so again I say we load the box and make Clemens be the hero.

Edit:
Just took a deeper look at the stats from last weeks Rams / Bears game. How the heck did the Bears lose, let alone lose big? They had 13 minutes more TOP, 10 more first downs, and Josh McCown torched them.

CP/AT YDS TD INT

Josh McCown - 36/47 352 - 2 - 1

Clemens was 10/22 for 167. It looks like it was some big chunk runs (all of Austin's rush yardage came on one play), hence the TOP disparity even with that much rushing yardage. If the Rams are counting on a two-fiddy rushing day on Sunday, well good luck with that!

Yes.
Gonna be a good game, I have respect for the Rams over the 2 other posers in the NFC West.

Why do Rams fans think Bradford is a weapon?

Do they know that every NFL team looks forward to playing him?
