Top running defense? more like 11th in the league....

When's the last time the Rams were even relevant lol

Last season when they owned the Niners in their own stadium with 1/4 of the talent they are bringing Sunday?

In case it gets skipped over on the last page.

As far as yardage, the Niners offense is 30th. Accurate stat. They also happen to be the 11th in scoring offense. Last I checked, fantasy football is the only type of football where yardage wins you games.

The Rams play a strong run D and a soft passing D but don't give up big passing plays. It's a good strategy for them since their pass rush is fierce. Give up the short pass, eat the clock, make the opponent deal with the pass rush. Make your stand in the red zone.

Niners WILL move the ball. They WILL score. If the Rams have learned to succeed by making explosive O plays, getting out ahead, getting great field position, forcing many many passing plays against that pass rush. Just sayin'.

They've learned how to blow teams out . . . go +4 on the turnovers and run for 200 yards per game. It's a magic potion.

The term "just sayin'" explains a lot.. My 12 year old daughter says it all the time. Now I know what we are dealing with here. Isn't it past your bed time? Just sayin'.

Yeah to bad statistically the numbers still arent quite adding up. Top run defense, amazing running game, who else that we recently played had the #1 running offense in the league?

Owned the Niners in a tie. Hmmmm... You are really grasping at straws.

I'm sure that after a disappointing loss in the Super Bowl, the Niners were really concerned about their loss to the Rams.

Steven Jacskon owned the Niners...he isn't on your team.
As pathetic as it is Sam Bradford > Kellen CLemens. Where is all this new talent?

It will be a good game. Both teams are in playoff mode.

Yep. Niners want it and will fight for it. Rams have to have it for any hope and they are on fire. This is going to be a game. Anyone on either side that thinks it isn't is fooling themselves.
It's going to be a tough battle...but really stop with all the stats..they make you look a little foolish and you seem to be a respectful person.

Owned = last season tie?

Not a 35-11 defeat THIS SEASON in STL??

I think I'm beginning to get a glimpse into your perspective
I think this game is going to fall on the rams oline shoulders, in 5 games Clemens has been sacked 11 times, allowing our d to get through the line quickly could put this game out of reach.

Yes...then if you want to say that the Niners won't score more than the Bears because the Bears are 8th ranked and the Niners 30th, you have to agree that in the past 4 games while the Rams have gone on their rushing tear, the have played 4 teams that are in the bottom half of the league in rushing defense. Never heard anyone bragging about punting...but your last four games were all played in domes where the kicking game is benefited by perfect weather conditions.

Those are all season stats on punting.

It's not about punting though, it's about starting field position where the Rams are ruling the league. Unless the Niners defy the odds, they will be looking at long fields all game.

The Rams rushed 200 yards on the Hawks who were not in the bottom of the league.

However, I agree. I think the Rams will rush well on the niners because the Niners will get burned if they focus on the run. I may be very wrong. The Niners have a kick ass D. We'll see.
