Kap has been mediocre at best this year. Luck has been much more consistent.

No excuse to insult anyone, let alone the guy who is clearly a young franchise QB doing his best. Show some class.

He is SOOOOOOOO far from a franchise QB. Not even close.

The NFL's figured him out. The difference between Cam and Kap is huge.

they also beat teams with winning records.

Yikes

Many blame roman...I've seen Kap make some bad audibles today

The biggest area that Smith was far better than Kaep was the mental part of the game. Kaep has much more natural talent, especially when compared with post-shoulder injury Smith, but he also had the advantage of being new to the league and defenses had little time to adjust to him. Well, they've adjusted, and they're beating him in the mental game. Which is why it bothers me when he's shown on the sidelines when the defense is on the field. He's never seen looking at game film, or discussing strategy with his offense. He's just watching the game. He needs to realize that his talent is not enough for this league. He has to understand the game much better.

It took smith years to get there. Kaep is way ahead of him at this point in his career. Roman needed to make things easier for the whole offense today. We tried to get chunks. They were giving us bites.

Oh, I agree with that. Kaep also has far better coaching around him at this point in his career, too, so in theory he should grow out of this phase faster. But that doesn't mean it is fun to experience as a fan while he goes through it. When the switch was made last year this type of bad mental play by a young QB was inevitable. I knew it, and a good amount of other posters on 49WZ knew it, but since it didn't really happen in those first 10 games last year save the loss in SEA most forgot about the possibility this past offseason. Well, now it's here in full force. Kaep is a lot like Steve Young in 1987-88 when he started in place of Montana - a wonderful talent, great fun to watch when he was "on", but terribly frustrating and not what he needed to be with the mental part of the game when he was "off". I just hope it doesn't take another 3-4 years for the mental part of Kaep to pick it up like Young has to go through (though granted a couple of those years was on the bench).
Love all the class and maturity coming from you neanderthals.

How old is everyone here? Were 6-3 and will still make the playoffs. We probably werent winning the division anyways. What are we really mad about here?

Sucks we lost, but this gameday thread proves every week that we have one of the most uneducated fanbases in sports.
Some of you nubies need to stop posting.

[lol]

A lot of football left folks. Vance catches that ball and we probably win. Close game, gonna learn from it

This game was winnable and we lost it. Same with the Colts game. I don't see us learning much this season. We're a "good" team, but definitely not one of the elites. And I don't want to hear about who we are missing on offense. We don't even use who we do have.
we lost by 1 to a good team...everyone needs to settle down

Just handed the Seahawks the division.

Nope. Seahawks took the division (albeit by pure luck ).
as much as it sucks, we had the same games in 2011 and 2012...the freakin seahawks went into OT against the bucs (the stupid jerks won!!!)

point is the nfl is very topsy tervy and we are no different...wild card 5th place this year hopefully...

kaep is doing much worse this year its not even close
Maybe some of you are forgetting but Kap is pretty young and inexperienced

Love how you started with "Not here to gloat" and then proceeded to start gloating...

Kaepernick did a great job of taking devastating sacks at the worst possible times. I don't understand why the coaching staff once again let Kaepernick start calling pre-snap motion and audibles on every play, running the clock down to nothing. Taking a sack on 1st down, losing 20 seconds and then throwing an INT. Nice job Kaep. Even if the defense had recovered the ball on either of the fumbles by Carolina, I don't know if we would have scored anything.

They know he's good. We know Kap sucks. This game was on him. Played like a little girl.

Then root for another team already, clearly you don't want to be here,,,,what's keeping you?
