Fixed. And, I agree. But, I always pay special attention to the first few sets of downs to see if our defensive 1's can stop the first string offense and if our offensive 1's can move the ball against the first string defense. KC was fifth in rushing yardage last season so it will be interesting to see whether the Niner front can stop their run without Willis and Justin. And, on the other hand, KC's defense was not good last year at 27th in the league so it will be interesting to see if the 1's can just move up and down the field on them.

I will be watching that as well. The weak spot in the KC defense last season was the secondary. They went out and got Sean Smith and Brandon Flowers has matured a lot over the past season. The Saints were unable to move the ball in their first possession last week against KC's 1s, although Colston did not play. Peyton kept his first team O in for the second series against KC's 2s and they still did not look very good.

DC Bob Sutton is running a defense there this season that is much better fitted for the talent they have. They will test the 49er OTs on both sides as well as how well they can hold the front of the pocket.

X-rays were negative. It is now being called a minor foot strain. He may not play in which case rookie Knile Davis will start. He looked very raw against the Saints but he has speed and power and can run the ball if he makes the reads. The Chiefs first string OL opened some nice holes on their first drive.

"There's a first time for everything," Bowman said. "We never got a chance to hit him. This time we can. So, we're looking forward to it. I know Alex knows what's coming. This is football, man. He's on another team."
