From the way things are looking, it's probably gonna be called "The Stitch". -I think this is awesome, I f**king wear Levi's jeans, as does the majority of America; imagine that everytime somebody buys a pear of those pants, they are contributing to the well-being of this franchise.

-Also, somebody already beat me to it, but Levi's was producing jeans for all of San Fran's actual 49ers during the mid 1800s of the California gold rush. -People can pop jokes as they wish, and although I hate corporatism, I feel way happier with a long-rooted company like Levi's (with a Legacy; which isn't going bankrupt anytime soon), than some b******t Software mogul. -Don't even get me started with that "Monster Park" b******t.

If we want to maintain the historic ties, it will Levi's Sourdough Stadium.

If I remember correctly sourdough bread was "discovered" during the 1849 Gold Rush, when some bread baker's yeast went sour.

The 49er mascot is Sourdough Sam.
The cheer leading squad is the Gold Rush.

I can envision some great ad campaigns using these historical links as a the motif.

Lots of humorists in the forum today, I see. It's all good, really. I think it's a good deal and a good name...Levi Strauss is an SF based company, so seems very appropriate they'd get the naming rights...also shows strong ties with The City. Tell ya what...it beats the crap out of Denver's Sports Authority Field, which is an hour + north of where I live. The Levis brand is recognized world-wide, too...which promotes international support. All in all, very satisfied with it. Nice job.
