Guys like Thomas Davis have had 3 ACLs and is still kicking ass.

I'm sorry you're wrong...also not one other beat writer stated what Cohn said and in fact some said he's moving around well.

I don't trust for a second what Cohn sees, because when it comes to football he doesn't know what the f**k he's looking at.

Not doubting Bow but he and Davis are two different situations. Start with Davis running a 4.52 as a rookie vs 4.77 for Bow. Bowmans gruesome knee injury a few years ago is also far worse than a simple ACL tear and more to come back from and then consider he was only healthy for 18 or so games before he tore his knee up again.

Davis came back from three ACL tears, he wrecked both knees pretty much. Citing their 40 times is pretty much irrelevant. He was able to overcome severe knee injuries and play well, not saying that Bowman will do the same but its certainly not unprecedented.

In anycase, what Cohn has to say doesn't mean a thing to me. He's shown that he is an incompetent hack that doesn't know enough to recognize what he's even looking at.

lol right...what in the world does 40 times have to do with torn ACLs. What a weak argument imho.

Besides that was like 3 yrs ago and he's proven that his knee isn't a issue. We've seen plenty of guys come back from a Achilles injury. Derrick Jonhson comes to mind, he tore it at 32 then can back the following yr and had like 120 tackles 4 sacks and 2 ints.

When other more respectable writers claim the same thing then I'll start taking it into consideration.

And cutting a guy that will cost us more money then to keep for a yr is dumb as s**t imo.

40 time means Davis has more room to lose when it comes to his diminishing effective speed after a major leg injury.

I'm most concerned about how Bow came back in 15 and quickly became a liability in coverage and now with his current ACL you have to assume he will continue to struggle with the agility required to excel in coverage.

He was the 17th overal lb in coverage last yr before the injury to the Achilles (which was higher than both Seattle LBers, Thomas Davis, Telvin smith ect).

His ACL is fine

It's all part of Cohn's gimmick of trying to be the first to jump on a bandwagon.
Already this off-season he has cut Bowman, traded Hyde, waived Dontae Johnson, and declared Keith Reaser as the winner of the #2 CB job. All of this after only 3 open, padless practices to the media.

Got Heeeem!
By the way, this article never ran in today's Press Democrat. I take the paper and read it from cover to cover and it was not there! Grant Cohn is like his old man, FOS!
@ what point do you draw the line ??? "Journalisim" or can it become slander??

Bowman's combine 40 might have been 4.77 but he was faster than that on the field.

Lol. Davis plays the WILL. You're allowed to be more of a thumper as a MLB and we all know Bow is elite at play recognition. Idgaf if he's lost a half or a full step. He's still a legit top 5 MLB in the game. Fine no top 5, top ten? Well see soon 😀

That's a gruesome pic. I hate ACL tears.
