SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS ATLANTA FALCONS GAMEDAY THREAD-PLAYOFFS 2013 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

I am a Saints Fan. I have hated the Falcons since birth. Coming to your forum feels like Walt coming to Hector in Breaking Bad in order to kill Gus. He says, "I know you despise me, but I am willing to bet I know someone you hate even more." Vernon Davis beat us last year with a game winning catch to give you all a memorable victory in a great game. Competitive excellence should never be disrespected. However, these Falcons. . .only know disrespect. . . that being said, I threw something together for you all to do with what you would like. Thank you,

But after thinking about it, I think it's best for our team to show not only ourselves but the whole World why we're the best team in the NFC. Only way to do that is to beat the #1 seed at their place. If we can play just like we did last night on both sides of the ball, we WILL beat those Dirty Birds and advance to the SB. Falcons are tough and offensively are 1 of the best in the game, but since we've beaten the likes of Brees, Brady, and Rodgers, I think we can do the same exact thing against Matt Ryan. No question about it.

Go 9ers baby!!!!!!

Actually, the Atlanta offense is 8th overall in the league. They are 6th in passing offense and 29th in rushing offense. The Niners have already beaten two teams rated higher in passing, the Patriots and the Saints, and both of them were at their fields. The Niners defense should be able to completely concentrate on the Falcons passing game while shutting down their running game. On defense, Atlanta is rated 24th in the league, 21st against the rush and 24th against the pass, so the Niner offense should be able to do what it wants against that defense. I don't want to be overconfident, because this is the NFL, but the Niners really should be able to advance to the Superbowl this year.

Lets hope so bro. Falcons running game was on today tho. Going to be tough for us to stop both Turner and J. Rodgers. As long as we can get pressure on Ryan and contain the run, we should be able to hold them to 25 points or less. But again if we play like we did last night, no one not even ATL can stop us.
Ah..come on guy`s lighten up..it`s an old NFC West matchup!..We hate ya`ll from way back..I love it!
I'm going to guess that most of us don't despise you, Darren. I love New Orleans. It's one of my favorite American cities. And the Saints are a very good team. I'm sure they'll be back in contention next year. I'm never sure about any NFL game, but I expect the Niners to go into Atlanta next week and break a bunch of hearts. I'm glad you'll be happy to see that happen.
our offensive line>>>>>>>there defensive line... prediction 49ers 35- Atl-21
I was glad you guys won the World Series and my favorite band is the Grateful Dead..

My favorite Jerry Glanville quote after they had knocked Montana out of a game and Young came in and cleaned their clock: "It's not fair. When you knock out a team's starting quarterback, there should be an expectation that there's going to be a drop-off."

Favorite Glanville moment: parading that tacky NFC West trophy he had made into Candlestick, brandishing it to the fans and Niner players and then proceeding to watch his Falcons just get stomped in a blowout.

I don't think the Falcons can score 21 on the Niners defense and the Niners offense just dropped 45 on the Packers defense which is rated a lot higher than the Falcons. This is just part of the reason why I was so happy to see the Falcons knock off the Seahawks today.

You also tied the Rams once and lost to them once.Your tails can be beat, just like us! Going to be a good game,we`ll be ready.I guarantee it and if we lose I`ll be back to eat my crow!

then today after kicking go ahead field goal with 6 seconds left, they try an onside kick rather than squibbing ball downfield
Still don't get why they called the timeout with 13 seconds left instead of letting the clock wind down to 3 seconds or less and call the timeout.

Thank you for that, OldFalcon. The Giants showed a lot of respect for your Braves last year back there when your skipper retired.

Not to be disrespectful, but the Rams have a better defense than the Falcons and the Rams are built specifically to play the Niners.
I`m not one to talk smack and not come eat my crow.I`ll be back. We`ll eat you up with the deep ball and Ryan will not make the mistakes he did today. As I said before this team is on a mission. The talk you`d rather play us on the road than the Seahags at home is a load of crap,Ask any player or coach if they had their outright choice if they would rather play a playoff game at home or on the road.Thats just a load of junk to pump yourselves up..The Dome will be rocking and will affect the rookie..you watch and mark my word!

No, believe me, I really wanted to play Atlanta rather than the Seahawks. It's no knock on the Falcons, just all about the Seahawks. The Seahawks play the Niners very tough. It's always a very brutal game. I'm not saying the Falcons don't play tough, but the Seahawks are a tough team for the Niners to beat. Again, like the Rams, they're built specifically to play the Niners. And as far as the deep ball is concerned, the Niners have given up a total of 2 TD's on throws of over 20 yards all year. If you're counting on your team to beat the Niners over the top, it's going to be a long day. The Niners secondary is very fast and hits very hard.
