San Francisco police have interviewed 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree about allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman in the city following the team's victory last weekend, The Chronicle has learned.
The alleged attack occurred at an unnamed hotel early on Jan. 13, hours after the team's victory over the Green Bay Packers at Candlestick Park.
The incident is being investigated by the Special Victims Unit, whose detectives have interviewed Crabtree with his lawyer present. Crabtree has agreed to make himself available for possible further interviews about an assault.
The 25-year-old player - who has not been detained or arrested - is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

some could make a case that the coach made the qb switch in order for us to win this game so if we lose,, nothing would have gotten accomplished this year. it would be just like last year, failure and disapointment. i am not of that mind set but you could make the case. before the qb switch there was alot of blather about how this is a super bowl or bust year. one wonders if that is still the mindset . i am not of that mindset but was just curious.

It is Super Bowl or bust bro. Jed York said so, the players have said so, and everything about this organization have said so. We have prepared and are expecting to win this game

It's still Super Bowl or bust. However, I initially didn't agree with the change and I still kind of don't. But so far, Harbaugh's right. Harbaugh put the team on his shoulder. He made it his decision. So instead, if the 49ers don't win it all, it'll be Harbaugh's fault, not Alex's, not even CK's. But I'm still in the mindset.

Looking back on it now, I have a great deal more respect for Harbaugh. He's putting the team in the best position to win according to his coaching ability. And he's done nothing so far to make me think otherwise. Hell, he's only lost 7 games (8 including playoffs) since coming to the 49ers. Nolan, Singletary AND Erickson all lost more games than that they're second year coaching. So, in Harbaugh we trust.

And Harbaugh has already accomplished what no previous coach since Mooch did, win the division and compete in NFCCG. Compared to last year, the team is better from top to bottom. Yes, it will be disappointing if we lose Sunday, but our offense has clearly improved with Kap as QB, and to say nothing was accomplished this year would be false.

I was at the 49ers hotel when they arrived in Atlanta tonight. Lots of fans, players seemed a little subdued. But also a long flight.

I think this is why Harbaugh had the team fly in a day early (we already had a day up on Altanta after playing last Saturday to begin with), to get rested up in the Eastern timezone.

Harbaugh will hold the final walkthrough in the parking lot tomorrow evening, lol!

I wonder if Alex Smith pulled any scout work this week? With his football knowledge and experience under Nolan, it'd be nice if he spent a bunch of time pick apart tape for Harbaugh & co. That dude has to be wanting to do a little more work to help the team than just going through second team snaps a few times a week.
