They fans can be as over confident as they want. It's the team that needs to stay humbled.

Look at the coverage completely flow left with Vernon Davis. No wonder he's never open lol.
This might be the time for Delanie Walker to have a big game.

LOL! They nearly triple teamed AJ Jenkins!!

I have to admit though, ATL does have THE most balanced passing game of any team we have played. Teams usually have top WR's but an okay TE or top TE's but okay WR's. ATL uses these three as they fundamentally should be used. Not like NE who uses every position like a slot WR. I think ATL will have us the most spread out but if Willis or Bowman are on that day in terms of coverage, then we should be good to go.

Packers played that badly. I'm not gauging much on our passing game against the Packers defense. I just hope we can do the same against the Falcons. That #21 has no business turning to the outside like he did. Hopefully the Falcons can turn retards in coverage on occasion like the Packers

It was man coverage with a safety over the top. The guy guarding Crab was way too deep and got warded off by jenkins, davis, and their covers. So 4 guys picked Crab's cover man. It was a great scheme to take advantage of the soft coverage.

You are right. The guy on Crabtree to the outside played off and got caught in a traffic of guys. There's no way he could have followed Crabs as he crosses through that mess.

Go, Niners, go!
I guess Harbaugh is playing Eminem's "Lose Yourself" in constant loop/verbatim at the final practices today, sort of reminds me of Walsh playing Kenny Loggins' "This Is It" during the entire bus ride to the Silverdome for XVI.
Does anyone else think we won't use that much read-option at all?

We barely used it the last 4-5 weeks of the regular season and were fine. I have no problem with using it obviously, I just think it's hilarious how everyone thinks that's like the staple play of our offense.

thats what i was thinking. It really hasn't been a staple, but it is getting all of the attention. I hope Nolan will sell out to stop it.

I think that the advantage we gained by have in huge game last week can not be overstated, it's enormous. Atlanta knows it has a difficult time with mobile QB's and Nolan will be spinning his wheels to try and stop it. We'll take advantage of a lot of intermediate area gaps in their zone and then crush them will Gore up the middle. Ryan will try to keep them in the game but we'll pressure him enough to get 2 picks. They'll get a touchdown in garbage time just like GB last week.
