SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS GAMEDAY THREAD (Week 15)

I'm obviously exaggerating the score just to screw with you. But seriously, I think that the key for the 49ers defense is consistently stop the Pats with the no huddle offense. As seen before (like Texans in some portions of the game, or the Jets in the 1st and 3rd quarter), Brady can be stopped in the no huddle.

You're being modest. The 49ers have the LB corp in the league, not just the best ILB. I expect the front 7 to hold with the running game, no huddle and play action that the Pats offense have, contrary to what the Texans did on monday. If the 49ers don't get down by a bunch early, it should be a tough game.

My real prediction is
17 - 14 either way

this game is eh to me.....just a stepping stone and a warm up game to theSeahawks next Sunday IMO.....

49ers - 23
Patriots - 14
Niners 31
Pats 21
Randy Moss and Michael Crabtree vs Alphonzo Dennard (3 ints) and Aqib Talib (2 ints, 1 pick 6) will be one of the key matchups. Very good single press coverage corners that play man to man like nobodies business..

Hey 49ers, wanna know how many times the opposing teams played no huddle offense vs 49ers since week 1? The whopping amount of 26 plays over 12 games. Amazing. Not to say that 13 of those came from HOF John Skelton, when down 17-0 and 24-0. 4 other came from Jason Campbell. Your defense have seen it TWICE over the last 3 weeks: both by Ryan Tannehill, 1 early in the game, the other at the end of it. On the other hand, Tom Brady & the Patriots played no huddle offense 259 times this season. That's almost 20 times per game. Good luck with the adjusts.

BTW, I'm glad that the entire NFL still thinks that the best play-action pass belongs to the Texans. That's cool.

Patriots 34
49ers 13

This guy is correct.

We are going to get sooooo burned. Brady is going to carve us up like he's digging in to a porterhouse steak. Our defense has never seen a no huddle. They don't even know what that means. Hell I don't even know what that means because I've never even seen it. Brady's timing in no way can be disrupted. His receivers will juke and run over our weak defensive backfield like Oregon did Colorado. Brady is going to get tired of throwing TDs. When he gets tired at the end of the 1st quarter when the score is 57-0 he can just hand the ball off and run throw our porous non aggressive front 7 for another 400 yards.

Speaking of yards, I have no idea how we're going to get any of those. Kaepernick is going to read option into a brick wall, because lord knows he won't be able to throw against the Patriots pro bowl secondary, that's if he has any time to throw at all. Gore will get stuffed against an opportunistic Pats defense, and we'll probably turn it over 14 times.

Not to mention Belichick cannot be out coached, especially by our bumbling noob of an HC. He is going to embarrass Harbaugh on national tv and then talk about it all monotone after like it doesn't mean a thing. I mean he's totally dominated the NFC West this year, and their division is the toughest in football.

I don't think I'm gonna watch.

In fact I don't even know why the game is even going to be played at all.

Ugh.

Oh by the way, this is the game thread. Please stay on subject.

Thank you. I kept trying to bring it back to the game. I appreciate that you did.

Been sayin this since the exposure yet people still praise these frauds. They claim hes a great coach and this and that. Easy to look legendary when you're cheating. Dam disgusting. This Pat team isn't the same team that cheated but same organization of disgraceful piles of scum. The Rams even tried to sue them for the SB sham but that was swept under the rug. I really want to crush Belly Chick and these frauds. Claim everyone cheats if you want but if the Niners lost to the Pats in those years evryone in these boards would hate the Pats to the core !!!. Slap on the wrist yet bounty scandal is a year long discussion ?! This league is laughable at times. Tuck Rule ?! Now the refs get the call correct evry time. What was that SB run really about ? Bunch of frauds. Dont tell me that all teams do it nonsense just stop it. Let Welker or Lloyd come across the middle I hope Bowman pops the daylights out of em.

So, who is gonna win the game on this Sunday? There is a game this Sunday. How do you think the game THIS SUNDAY is gonna go?
If we get single coverage with Dennard and no safety up top, we should take some shots down the field! Dennard isn't very fast. Also we have to utilize our tight ends vs their linebackers. If we get single coverage at all with their tight ends on our linebackers, we must take advantage. Their linebackers can not hang with our te's. Too much speed. We've got to start using some of the speed that we have on offense. We haven't really done that yet and haven't been taking too many shots down field. I'd love to see some of that this game.

If our D plays at its best, it can hold any offense under 20 points. Just tough to predict which D will show up. I doubt our offense will even get to 20 points, so it's going to take a herculean effort by our D.
On Offense, we will need to control the time of possession. I do not think we can get into a shoot out with the Pats, unless our passing game lights it up. we will need our running game to show up, taking a few shots down the field via play action.

Come on bro. Patriot fans are in denial. Your team illegally taped defensive signals from 2000-2007. Other teams DO NOT tape defensive signals in the same way that the Patriots did. The way in which they were taping was illegal and was not being done by other teams. Don't try and pass it off as a normal thing everyone was doing. Other wise other teams would have been disciplined! It's as simple as that! Do other teams send out scouts to opponents practices and film their signals and tape their walkthrough (al vs. the Rams in superbowl 36)

" In addition several other teams including the Steelers and Packers also accused the Patriots of signal stealing with former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward stating that when the offense would audible to another play the New England defenders would move to the new alignment before the offensive players arrived leaving no question that they in fact already knew what play had been called in the audible"

The Patriots organization since Belicheat took over has a history of bending the rules and cheating and doing anything they can to get an extra advantage on their opponent, whether it be legal or illegal. They use illegal tactics as long as they can get away with it. Read the articles I posted above. The Patriots have used another frequency in the radio to communicate with Tom Brady after 15 seconds are left on the play clock. Once the play clock runs down to 15 seconds, the radio communication gets shut off to the QB. Patriots used another frequency during the Spygate era to communicate to Brady. Another violation!

Also, if you ever watch Patriots games, you can see before the snap the way that their offensive line is lined up on pass plays. They already are formed within a pocket. The guards are a step or two off the line of scrimmage, and the tackles are another step or two behind the guards. Ultimately the tackles are usually nearly a whole couple yards off the LOS! They get a head start into providing Brady with that nice comfortable horseshoe type of pocket. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all of the offensive linemen have to line up on the LOS? The Patriots have been doing this for a long time and do it all the time and it's not getting called because that is their normal formation and what they do every single time. Now, I've started to see some other teams resembling it, but not to the degree the Pats do it. This is just but one example of how the Pats use any little tactic in their arsenal, even if it's illegal as long as they think they can get away with it.

Now, I'm sorry if I'm getting off topic. I know this is the gameday thread, but I couldn't just let the cheating be dismissed. It actually has to do with this upcoming game. 49ers need to watch out for these type of tactics! I will now stop posting about the Patriots past troubles and will focus on the keys to the game. Just had to get my last points in.
There is a game this Sunday. It's on tv. Not kidding. Who do you think will win?

To this day, Steve Grogan is a top 5 Patriot of mine and a damn tough SOB. Loved him. It was tough BB (before Beli). You will find that most of us will state "in Bill we trust". Why wouldn't we?

I find myself annoyed by Harbough. That said, if he were terrible (Rexy anyone?) we wouldn't care. It is BECAUSE he is a good coach that we pay attention and don't like him.
I would love for proof to come out that Brady is being coached through secret radio communication.
