Seriously, I hope not, but reading that article by Eric Branch today which compares Hunter and LMJ (and Rice) made me wonder--have we seen the last of Frank Gire???
Haha. Nah, I enjoyed it...

It's something I've questioned myself for a little while...that, and his inability to run laterally which dumbs down our offense. Now you have guys such as Hunter/LMJ who can burn off tackle AND run inside, you just made it much more difficult to stack the box with 8-9 and run blitz between the T's all day long (see NFCCG as a perfect example). It's bold but you may be right!

I wouldn't say that we have seen that last of Frank Gore, but we are seeing his last for sure. JH & Co. are planing for the future in the backfield and I think that future is closer than many think. I see his carries and yards going down, not that I want them to. I'm one of Gore biggest fans. But we have some seriously talented new blood that I think JH won't be able to keep off the field. If Gore has an injury that keeps him off the field for more than two games that could be it.

Agreed!
Moss and Davis will have 1000+ yards receiving each
Willis win DPOY
Alex throws 4000+ yds
Crabtree wins super bowl MVP

This would be like and Alex Smith thread all over again. I love it.
One of our starting WR's is injured early in the season and Jenkins is sent in to replace him. He then spends the season torching secondaries and puts up 1000+ yards and wins offensive rookie or the year, and we realize we have our franchise WR.

Hold on that is way too optimistic for this forum which includes Alex Smith throwing to him. Or are you predicting he will get hurt and CK will replace him. I hope no one gets hurt and he still get close to 1,000 yards.

Well the thread asked for bold predictions so that's what I gave.

I like it.
May = Kendall Hunter / LaMichael James
June = K, Hunter / L. James
July = Hunter - James
August = Kendall James
September = LaKendall
October = LaKen

Another one: 49ers 30-24 over GB in overtime.

Alex played pretty well last yr with his 7th OC in 7 yrs, and virtually no TC to get acclimated. He also played a good part of the season with us suiting up less than 3 WRs. It is the one most interesting thing of the new season to see how our WRs and LaMichael work out with Alex. Frankly I just see good things happening. Also feel better about Kap this yr, and Tolz remains ready to start. Not much info on JJ. But we are ready if our QB goes down. Same for RB, WR, most of D, and OL looking way better, with good backups. I like us, even tho it is GB IN GB.
