Considering the ONLY (ex) 49ers to ever publicly bad mouth Harbs and his staff once they left the team were Moss and Brandon Jacobs, I wouldn't be surprised if it was LMJ saying that crap. Not DWalker, not Goldson, Whitner, Spillman, none of them had anything but good things to say about their time with the 49ers.

Greetings....

I'm just thinking. Instead of letting him walk why not trade him to a
relative that just cut their running back this morning?

I don't see why that isn't feasible. Maybe trading him to a relative for their game of flag football would have been a better option. A case of Baalke just not exploring all his options.
Bye Felicia!! Don't let the door tackle and injure you on your way out! Oh yeah, and definitely don't slip on your way out of that door. Make sure you fair catch that plane out of here before you miss it gurrl..

Anyways, yeah should have kept Winston but I could see Smith or Gaskins getting a call up/call back. Just have to hold on for 6 weeks and hope Lattimore is ready to go by then.

People really need to take a moment to understand what dead money is. We are no longer paying him money. But dead money is something enforced by the league to prevent teams from circumventing the salary cap. It is charges against the cap.
This makes the release of Winston seem even more of a mistake. Many questioned the LMJ pick from day one. Tbhis shows that ecven our vaunted braintrust can err.
Tp. Damn phone!!

Winston will get cut soon enough depending on Tate's injury. Cleveland's other two rookie RB's beasted yesterday.

Nobody wanted him at his salary???

Lets see if anyone claims him off of waivers.

I think it's pretty convenient that it's the same reporter that did the "losing the locker room" story that first broke the story that he's released

The Saints already have a full stable of RBs that are playing well.

The obvious pick IMO is the Ravens given the Rice suspension. The Jags would make sense. The Cards could make sense with Ellington's injury. Also the Dolphins or Titans or Colts, none of whom have a lot of depth at RB or excellent starters.
