He does have a tendency to overthrow and sail his throws out of bounds on those deep routes. I suspect it is by design, from his ultra conservative preference to avoid interceptions at all cost. If his WR can
't get to it, no one will. He really hasn't given his receivers a chance to go up and fight for the ball in the past.
This problem may not show up in training camp, when Alex is not concerned about the ints.
I just hope Moss won't get frustrated or lose confidence with Alex when it starts happening in the regular season.
Hopefully everything will work out fine and Moss earns Alex's trust, and lets him fight for those jump balls. After all, that why we signed him in the first place.

every qb does

in fact at one point in the season going into the ravens game he had the highest passer rating for any qb for throws over 20 yards

matt miller sain in his qb rating he was one of the better qbs throwing passes over 20 yards

I forgot how I felt when we signed him, but damn I love seeing Moss in a 9ers jersey, really hope he turns it around and has a good year here. If he stays motivated I'd love to see get an extension. If he makes it out as a 9er this season and is extended, I'm definitely buying his jersey.

Interesting.....even if we won 2 Superbowls with Moss, I'd have a hard time buying his jersey. I guess I just feel like he's a gun for hirer and not a "true Niner." I use to laugh at the Raider fans walking around with the Rice jerseys. I'd kind of feel the same way.

BTW, has he ever won a Superbowl? Did he win one with NE?

Edit: Nevermind. He hasn't.....http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Has_Randy_Moss_ever_won_a_Super_Bowl

Your kidding me right Oakland?? Dude, if we won two Super Bowls with Moss he'd be on par with Jerry Rice and you know damn well everyone would buy his jersey.

Yeah....not saying your wrong. It's just the way that I feel.....Just like I will always consider TO a Niner......please dont ban me....

For me it boils down to where you started or played most of your career. If Willis/Gore/Davis/ ever left, they would always be Niners to me.

Moss looks rookie skinny. That means he's in shape and ready to run fast.

Oh no?? Check all the records Moss broke, all he needs is a SB win or two and he'd pretty much be right there.

I get it, Rice is the best All-Time....excuse me for saying another player such as Moss who no doubt is a HOF'er is on par with Rice.

I just hope we sweep the division and finally crow ourselves true NFC West Champs, that one loss to the Tards was painful.

Moss hasn't even sniffed Rice's biggest records and to compare the two is a joke. One worked his ass off, never quit, became the greatest player of all-time. The other is great but his attitude got in the way and even if he wins 2 superbowls he'll still be behind Rice in the category too.

all that's being said is that if moss didn't act like an a*s and won some SB's... he could have been better.
