like i said in the jacobs thread, watching dixon attempt 3rd and shorts or 2nd and shorts is so pathetic. Im glad we signed Jacobs he would get those easily.

Alex did not have a good game. I remember this, he was throwing high balls most of the game, and it costed him with that overthrow to crabs which resulted in a pick. but, he made the play the mattered the most and we won. all that matters

Because it's WORTH noting. In the END, all that matters is we won. Just like EVERYTHING else. There would be nothing else to talk about if that were the case, and we just left it at that.

I had the opposite impression. Each time I have watched the game I have been more impressed at how well Smith dealt with the drops and penalties...didn't get rattled at all. The interception and one other pass on that series were both high but there were few passes besides those that were poorly thrown. After the game he said that he had misread what Crabtree was going to do on the route, took responsibility for the error. I can't think of a QB who has not had at least two bad passes per game.
Passes to VD were not high or misplaced at all. Beautiful passes to Gore. Just a very solid game.

He had Crabtree 'jumping' for balls. He threw it over is head, he over threw it, big time. Put too much air under it. Just cookie cutter talk. Just a bad throw resulting in a pick. He was 17/32 with a 3.9 YPA AVG. It was not his best game.... Statistically, it was his worst of the season at that current time.
