True, I was thinking he shows something during preseason games as a gage for some teams out there. And there are alot of stupid teams out there that will give up something for a 3rd string QB.

I see a RGIII type on this guy, athletically any ways, add Harbaugh and this guy could work. Or work enough to get some value out of in trade if it goes down that road. I guess that little talk coach and JJ had after the game on the field went along way. lol.

Honestly the QB I would've liked to get is Dixon...a late injury killed his draft

We have Vernon Davis, we have Delanie Walker. we have needs at other positions. we currently have Daniel Kilgore starting at RG, and our C is old. Our WR corps is improved, but still needs bolstering, and were going to need replacements for Whitner and Goldson when they leave.

taking the best player available is nice, but we have some glaring needs. Fleener makes no sense for this team.

Whitner's like 27 and just signed last year, when is he leaving? Goldson will most likely work out a long term deal to stay. Our C is old but he's still decent and Kilgore could turn out to be good, most likely we will find someone to compete with him though. Even so, good teams find good players late in the draft and let them play.

Bottom line IMO, is you take BPA if that player can help you. Fleener ran a 4.45-4.50 at 6'5' 240+'. We don't have that kind of weapon on the roster. If you think he can be a Gronk or Graham type TE, you take him because teams will struggle to defend him and Vernon at the same time.
