How much do we really have to spend?

I know we are "18 million" under the cap, but our starting QB isn't signed, our starting RG (presumably) isn't signed, and isn't 5-6 mil or so of that going to be committed to the rookie pool? Assuming Alex (which is all but a given, but whomever our starting QB is if you want to believe the Hasselbeck rumors or whatever) is going to cost us at least 8-10 mil a year, a decent RG will be at least a couple mil a year and at least 5 needs to be committed to rookies, then what do we really have for FAs? By my math, not much. Any of the cap gurus, please tell me and how I'm wrong, but it seems once we sign Alex, account for rookies and if we add a vet RG and/or WR we are pretty close to the cap.
