I have always been PRO Niners FO, and usually agree with the moves they make and don't make over the years, but they seem to be thinking outside the box so far with the Moss and Cox signings.
My team is trying to pull a couple fast ones on me and you like we're not paying attention

Well, if it's true that Morgan got $6m a year, I'm glad we didn't pay that much. Love the guy but that's crazy.

He should have been extended on the cheap last off-season

Good for him getting it. Better for us not paying it.

Even at 3 million a year, that's too much for what Morgan has shown. If they think he can do better, it's a calculated risk (or maybe uncalculated) on their part.
Would you rather have Randy Moss at 2.5 million or Josh Morgan at 3 million? If Moss doesn't act like an idiot, he'll be better than Morgan. Moss reportedly ran a 4.37 at his workout with Harbaugh. That's .10 faster than Josh Morgan ran at the combine. And Randy Moss is in his mid 30s.

That's real. We could have packaged this years 3rd and next years 2nd.

We can't take on Marshall's salary. Over 9 million a year for the next three years.

I doubt Baalke would want him even without giving up draft picks. It's probably against his philosophy to pay $10m a year for a WR.
KFFL reports Morgan's deal was 2 years, $6m, so if that is true...![]()

Then I guess we can rule out Mike Wallace, Jackson or any other WR that starts doing well here but we don't want to pay him.

I'd much rather have Morgan, the only WR we had that Alex has a good rapport with. Moss is a quitter, a headcase and 8 years older. Yeah he could be amazing and he also could be cut in preseason or before the playoffs ala Braylon, and then what? Brett Swain again?
I'm not against the Moss signing in and of itself but def. am if we don't sign anyone more reliable.

Here is why Costanzo hasn't signed
Looks like we wants to be back but is using twitter, and other teams offers to get the FO to up the price. Check out his twitter account http://twitter.com/#!/BlakeCostanzo51 he is retweeting any fan that says they want him back and also asked Willis to put in a good word with York. I like him but it's going to be hard to justify more than 2-2.5 million for a special teams player who isn't a dynamic returner.
