I he repeats his stats from this year with a few more FF or ints, he'll get in and we will have two ILB Pro Bowlers
Anyone know the last time that happened?
Man our front line is STACKED right now. Imagine we draft another dominant LB or DL![]()

Soap has done an excellent job, but he's a steel link in a titanium chain. He holds the point of attack as well as anyone, but I'd like to get a NT that can collapse the middle. I dont think RJF is that guy. Could you imagine Smith/Aldon and Ray/Brooks coming from the outside and then having pressure up the middle? Where is the QB to go.....I wouldn't call it a pressing need, but if a stud NT fell to us in the first I wouldn't mind scooping him up. I think Soap only has a year or two on his contract anyway.

Excellent point IMHO! We have plenty of pressure off the edges but if a QB can step up, it doesn't matter. Of course, this could also be avoided with many more outside-in stunts and rushes with Bowman/Willis but I agree. Sopoaga has played outstanding but it takes a very special guy like Justin Smith who can move two guys back into the pocket on a regular basis.

lol at the nickname
I just don't see it in the same conference as Rodgers, Brees, Newton, Stafford, and Manning. I like the dude, but Pro Bowl is usually a stats thing.
If he improves next year, he will deserve it, but you know how it goes with the ProBowl...it is always the year after you have a big year.
I still think it would be awesome to see gold helmets in the Probowl at LOLB TED MIKE ROLB...we own the middle.

Aldon, Bowman, Iupati, and McDonald... I dont count alternates cause now probowl alternate honors are seemingly given to half the league.

I suspect people are just assuming Aldon Smith made the pro bowl this year (he did not).

Aldon Smith will probably go.
I really think Alex Smith can go. The first time in his life he had 2 years in the same system and he has responded under Harbaugh. I think he will grow in year 2 with a full offseason and maybe some better weapons in FA or the draft.
