Why can't they be the next Brooks and Smith? They'll be great in their own right.

I believe what separates our from theirs is the fact that Smith's gorilla arms will take the sacks to another level. Now that he will be on three downs rather than one will give him that many more opportunities. Justin Smith and Ray Mac hang out. Now, Brooks hangs with them in the weight room at 49er HQ. When Aldon gets there and stays, that foursome will thrive off each other especially with "Cowboy" leading the way.
These two will start "hanging out" n compete. They want to follow "Cowboy" to take it to another level. They will far exceed our expectations and deliver each and every year. We had 21.5 sacks with both of them. Now, I can see Aldon reaching plus 15 with Brooks getting to ten. That would be extraordinary.
We shall see how it plays out.

I don't know man. Might be closer than most would think by the end of this next year coming up.

They're already better. Aldon is was nearly unstoppable as a rookie. Brooks is a force against the run and very good against the pass.
No matter who the Steelers plug into that position it always produces. That is Dick LeBeau's defense.
