This is a silly post with silly answers. Saying they going to lose the name cause the city of San Francisco wants to keep it when they get another Franchise. The NFL is not going to grant a third team in such a small area when there are more derserving cities the would make more financial sense. Also the team will still be in the area. As for the name 49ers, the city doesn't own that the team does, unless they move out of state like Hawaii , it will be a name good anywhere in northern Cailfornia. Plus there is no law in the NFL books or Calif. constitution that says your stadium has to be exactly in that city.
