They missed a huge helmet to helmet hit when Whitner hit Pierre Thomas to cause that fumble on the first drive when they were about to score....so i think it was a pretty fair reffed game overall.

That was not helmet to helmet just cause their helmets hit. ESPN just said clean hit cause he had his head up.

The refs in this game were totally bogus! They screwed us on 3 calls in a row on our first set of downs! GO NINERS!!!

the phantom timeout they gave the saints after the play clock ran down to zero was just awful

Saints got away with holding a ton, that prolific play with Justin Smith was the biggest proof. -Also got away with a ton of DPI calls, and roughing the kicker.

To the ref's credit, they allowed the players to play. I know the saints weren't penalized and the 49ers weren't penalized much either. Besides that phantom pass interference call on Whitner, the refs did a good job allowing guys to be physical.

i'm as anti homer as it gets, but this game was a travesty in terms of officiating
there was a missed hold on aldon smith on the opening drive. the ref BEf**kINGHIND the receiver calls pi on the opening drive when he could even see the play. there were at least two intentional grounding flags that should have gone on brees. it goes on and on and on. horrid officials.

Also a forward lateral on the last play of the game.

Just confirmed the Saints weren't called for holding last week either (and only 3 penalties for 18 yards total). So Brees throws 106 passes against two elite defensive lines and their OL doesn't hold even once? Sure...
