We will run just enough to set up the play action and scorch your secondary.

Stating we are the number 1 run defense in the NFL is actually an uderstatment. This years Niners have been one of the best run Ds of all time, seriously. For almost the entire season teams averaged less than 75 yards on the ground. The second best team (Raven's I believe) was in the high 90s. We only slipped slightly because we lost Patrick Willis for a few games. Did I mention we only allowed 3 rushing TDs this season? One was a QB sneak, while another was to Lynch who started on our 1 yard line because of a muffed punt.

In other words, calling a run play on the Niners is like taking a QB knee....

LOL yes it is, but that's what gets them hyped.

I think the Gmen can win for the same reason they beat the Pats in 07, their front 4 can generate tremendous pressure. But truth be told I believe the tragedy that has transpired with the OC in Green Bay is going to strengthen that team and they probably win on emotion alone. Awful situation that is much bigger than football, obviously, but I think in relation to football the Packers will be playing with a different purpose than normal.

I would say it may be the other way around. When tragedy comes by this magnitude, some may not be able to overcome their emotions for a great deal of time.

You mean those blistering 4 mph winds out of the SE that Weather.com is predicting? Boy, that coupled with the 67 degree high and the 90% chance of abundant sunshine, I bet Brees is freaking out.

lol if you think weather.com can predict the wind at the 'Stick. it could be 2 mph winds in the City but much different on the field. me thinks you have no idea about that stadium and it's legendary swirling winds. google "candlestick + wind" and read up on it.

It's only a few miles away, but the weather at Candlestick Point is nothing like the weather downtown. It's like a wind tunnel. Plus we've had some nice +6 tides this week to help saturate the field from beneath.

Do want

IT'S ABOUT FKN TIME! I've been tweeting JEd to do this s**t all year!

It'll be nice to see.

Here's the rest of the stuff before the game.. heh Huey Lewis.. http://blog.49ers.com/2012/01/10/49ers-have-big-plans-for-playoff-game/
"There is a reason we call our fans the Faithful and they deserve a home playoff game," said Director of Marketing Ali Towle. "So, we're doing everything we can to celebrate their dedication and enthusiasm for this team and this playoff opportunity. Our goal is to make Saturday a lasting memory for our season ticket holders and fans."

Am I the only one who got a chuckle out of that?

Thats every teams gameplan that we played this year

I dont think they know that Willis is faster than Sproles and Bowman is probably just as fast as Sproles. Is Vick couldnt shake Bowman then it cant be easy for sproles.

I HOPE Saints come out trying to set up the play action. My only concern is that Whitner or Goldson dont bite.
