just because you have a better NFC record doesn't make you the better team. In the NFL unlike college football, records are much more comparable because the playing field is more level. 13-3 in the regular season is 13-3

If you're playing harder teams as a whole it doesn't really matter. Then again Saints fans wouldn't understand that concept since they've only been following the Saints since Hurricane Katrina
