I trust the highly efficient accurate QB more then the league leading group of dropped balls WR's and TE's

Ding Ding Ding... ALL of this is not on any one person or position.

Who do you trust in the red zone? Not many people on this offense... and a pass requires the trust of not only the QB and WR/TE but also the OL not to allow a sack and potentially take the O out of field goal position. A run while limiting the upside is a lot better bet to move toward the endzone and NOT turn the ball over - with Akers, assuring at least 3pts.

The coaches have a lot more faith in the DEF as a whole than they do the OFF as a whole... therefore running is a smart/safe choice. Who can argue with that... the DEF = AWESOME... OFF= Not Awesome...

I think if WR/TE's can stay healthy, the OL can improve in pass protection and they along with the QB get better acclimated to the nuances of the playbook then we will see a lot more of the passing game in the red zone.
