drops are considered good throws that bounce of the WR hands

Been saying it all year... this can not be overlooked. SF passes the ball the 2nd least amount of times... and is tied for 5th in drops.

That's just horrific. BUT... look at the bright side... we are 12-3 despite this! Imagine how good we will be with a full offseason and having added upgrades to the receiving corps?

the only time i remember him rushing his throw was against arizona and he threw it for an int (im sure theyre maybe a few more )


other than that he has had great pocket prensence and pretty good timing imo

If we still had josh morgan, that number would be lower, and I bet we wouldn't be so bad in the redzone.

this

remember earlier this season?

we didnt have a RZ problem it only happened after morgan was injured

(dallas and TB game come to mind we scored pretty well in the RZ during that time)

Statisticians are not allowed to count a pass a drop unless it is deemed 100% the receivers fault. This is so dropped ball stats are ones that cannot be blamed on the QB whatsoever.

Wish there was a stat for incomplete passes that were 51% or more the WR's fault ( or the qb's). I know it is not really possible...but it certainly would be a bit more telling of what is happening on offense. I see an awful lot of not perfectly thrown balls that are catchable with a little effort not being caught.

Alex is not perfect, but I do not believe he is getting a lot of help. I think Crabs is just starting to do a bit more in this respect. Kyle definately fights for the ball.

Swain and Hastings will put a stop to all these drops. Probably just me, but seems like Smith has good connection with backup receivers. Maybe it's because they have nothing else to do except catch passes from Smith in practice to prove their worth to the team.

Hope you are right. Always believed that at this level attitude and hard work pretty much made up for any disparity in talent.

I think they under counted the drops.
