without looking at nfl.com, doesn't he already have 17 td's?
It's kinda mind boggling that Brees almost have twice as many passing yards and 3 times more touchdown passes. What could Alex look like in the Saint's offense?
my guess is 4,000 yards 30 touchdowns, and 16 ints

alex smith averages 7.06 yards per throw
brees attempted 583 passes (not including recent game)
thats 4100 yards...and thats with 49ers recievers with the saints WR it would possibly be more as we lead the league in dropped passes and saints are one of the lowes t in that category

Honestly I could care less about records and stats. Wins and how clutch your QB is, is all that matters. Once we get Alex some pro bowl receivers he'll get even better.

That is some incredible extrapolation. Reminds me of when Ross Perot said something along the lines of the following in a debate with Clinton: "It's like if you run a grocery store and then extrapolate that you can run walmart, and it's just not the case."
Also, I think you are confusing throws and completions. I believe you are using Smith's average yards per completion and multiplying it by Brees # of throws attempted, which will give you an inaccurate and unrepresentative answer, on top of it being some pretty remarkable extrapolation.
