I often listen to coaches and think it's just "coach speak" - but on the point of EVERY game being important, I absolutely agree this season.
1. We can't take any division games lightly because they will all be gunning for the 49ers! (look what Seattle did last night to Philly, I don't want Seattle to get anything from a win over the 49ers - JH should stomp Pete Carroll every chance he gets!)
2. This team needs some confidence that is can beat a "top team" in a straight up contest at the end of the season.
BUT, if we get a good lead on a team, then I would rest players and experiment with expanding the scheme a bit to "practice" for the playoffs. But the priority has to be winning the game.

I know it's easy to assume our four remaining divisional games will be wins, but divisional wins don't usually come easy - especially ones on the road the second time in a season which three of them will be. Seattle continues to play great at home, and St Louis and Arizona won't be rolling over for us either - especially if they have a chance to f**k up our playoff alignment. Pittsburgh is the best team we'll play for the rest of the regular season, but that game is less important (and probably not much tougher) than most of the other games on our schedule.

We have five more games to play. Each of those games is important.
The next game, in this case the games against the Rams, is the most important game.
As they say, don't count your..............!!!!!!!

It isn't likely to affect our playoff seeding. BLUF? It's a moral victory. It's a chance to play a good opponent and get better from it. Right now as far as I'm concerned our season can only be furhter defined by the playoffs. If we win the 2 seed and our home game then our regular season record is just that, our regular season record. 3-0 in the playoffs is all that really matters if we handle the west.

I really want the Niners to win these next 3 games and get to 12-2----then a bye looks pretty good. being 11-3 heading to Seattle on short rest would be very tenuous of a situation.

The Raven game should have prepared the 49ers for the Steelers. Up until the Raven game the Niners had not met that kind of opponent. They will be much better prepared.
