despite all those marvelous reasons you mentioned, the guy has a brain the size of a peanut. If our FO were to even entertain your suggestion, I would question the mass and density of their brains as well.

Thus why the 49ers would continue to stay mediocre, unless of course CK turns out to be that guy. Oh btw you cant go 32-19 as starter with having a brain of a peanut.

mediocre? lol.

you're right, I concede. Vince Young is who we need to get to the next level. He is 32-19 as a starter.

Yeah 32-19 starting record without superstar WR's with added pressure of a coach who didnt want you. He wanted *cough* Matt Leinart and we saw what he did in the league. Young is in a WCO offense right now, so the learning curve would not be so great. Crabs, Gore, and Edwards(if resigned) would be talent he never had to work with and we would be an Offense powerhouse with Harbaugh schemes in play. I guess this generation is content with mediocre QB play.

This generation??? I'm probably older than you so that's a moot point. Answer me this: Why in the hell would you change your QB who's been winning games for us with this "new" system we're running? Is he (AS) really that bad that we need to cut him when he's winning games for us (this year)?

Are you watching the same game as us??? Stat wise, our QB is in the Top 10 (NOT mediocre whatsoever) and winning games. And you're going to cut the guy????

Vince Young is 32-19 as a starter. Thats all you need to know.

Alex Smith is younger and at this point in their careers a better player than Vince Young. Also Alex isnt a head case like VY

Yeah it makes sense to keep QB and sign him to another mega contract without knowing if this a fluke season or not. It smells like Kerry Collins and Tommy Maddox, but that could never happen.

Drugs are very bad. Smith would never be a better player than Vince. He plays too timid and you dont have to "limit" him in fear of him making mistakes and yeah Vince is causing all kind of madness in Philly right now.

why has he been a backup if he is 32-19 as a starter. Think about your answer carefully.

Stats are very deceptive. He has not put alot of attempts compared to the other QB's. The completions are based off a very very great running game that is starting to get adjusted to a tad bit.
