It may be Braylon. At least Ginn showed nice hands on the long TD catch that was brought back and I believe he has yet to muff or not catch a punt - a VERY welcome change given our struggles when he was out last year (i.e. N.O. game) and certainly 2009 and before. I always used to hold my breath when another team punted and for the first time in a while we have a guy that we can rely on to field punts cleanly. Also, I think he should get some PT at WR - but only when we're on our own side of the 50. That way he brings value as a decoy as a safety has to respect his deep speed. However when the field becomes shorter when we cross the 50, I don't really think he should play much WR, and CERTAINLY not in the red zone.

Not when you have Isaac Sopoaga able to play every position on the field.

Let me get this straight, the Ravens the team that got beat by the awesome Seahawks. Beats down the 49ers and two weeks ago the 49er fans were telling everyone just how this team was going to beat the Packers? Maybe this was a wake up call, hey?

I think the answer should be yes. Have Chilo Inactive, that would send a message.

Kinda silly way to look at it. I mean, the Hawks were at home vs the Ravens... very tough stadium to deal with. Also, the Ravens are a rather bipolar team like us. Some games, they dominate... some leave you wondering why folks think they're so good. The Steelers got beat down @ the Ravens 35-7. Should we judge the Steelers so harshly? or maybe just accept that teams have bad games from time to time?

No. They got a ton of pressure while only rushing 4 guys. Yes, they rushed 5 or more a few times, but the bulk of the pressure came from 4 guys. Not a whole lot you can do about that...the OL just needs to do their damn job.

Even Super Bowl winning teams usually have one horrible game a year. I am shocked at people blaming the defense, when you allow 16 points you should win most of the time. The offense still needs to improve, but I will gladly take a 9-2 start any time.

I think the bi-polar of the Ravens is caused by playing the Steelers the week before. Both games after the Steeler games they were beaten by the likes of the Titans and Seahawks.

a lost is a lost no matter which way you play it, we were not exposed ! nothing to expose, frank gore slipped many times and if you look at those slips he would have gained at leat 15 yds, that would have changed the game for sure. point is we play straight up football, it was just one of those games. it happens. just gotta look foward now. best believe that if we meet again (superbowl) we will be better prepared

Anyone remember the OL play in the preseason...or last year? Remember how people said it would get better with time? As we all have seen so far in the first 10 games this year, the OL play was great. It's almost a given that this team will once again learn from its mistakes and get better.
This isn't a Nolan/Singeltary team.
Jim Harbaugh/Roman/Fangio all got out coached last night. It's part of the game and it will happen from time to time. Lets not forget that this a ROOKIE HC staff, regardless of how much experience they have. I think this game was a good reminder that this team, although VASTLY improved from the past, still has a long way to go to be considered elite....IMO.
Actually the defense played well. Ravens had one good drive all game the TD. Harbaugh needs to recognize that our offense is the problem 27th in the league not the defense 10th in the League.
I think it's a personnel issue. We may have a bunch of first round draft pics but that doesn't mean we have good players. Our WRs are woefully under-talented in terms of being play-makers. Outside of Iupati, this team is way below average at the OG position. Staeley and Davis are average OT at best. This a well-coached team, not a supremely talented team. I think it will take a couple of off seasons to get the Nolan-McClougan-Singletary bird poo off the wind shield.
I think ur wrong bout our receivers. B. Edwards has been a no.1, crabs can b a no.1, Morgan's a good no.2, ginn's got speed to be a no.1 but his game is a soild no.2, k.will seems like a no.3 but i bet he can b like Morgan & b a solid no.2. VD & DW maybe TEs' but they mite as well b receivers. That doesn't count gore, hunter, & maybe miller out of da backfield. We may not have individual no.1's. But we do have a group dat can get opened if put in da rite position. I've seen dis offense move da ball maybe a lil inefficiently at times but VERY capable. Wit sum chemistry, continuity & an offseason, this group can definitely make us proud & championship caliber offense. They maynot light it up but they'll do da damn ding.

But the offensive line was the worst. Could not beleive they gave up 9 sacks. Now im aware that Racheal came in and allowed some of those sacks - but if u watched the game u noticed pressure was coming from every direction with blitz and stunts - so it cant all be on Rachel.
So my question and concern is did John Harbough showcase a template or formula on how to disrupt and dominate the 49ers offense?
It's the day after, and that loss still hurts a lot. At the same time, there are some encouraging things. First I don't think the D played as bad as you do. Maybe it wasn't their best performance, but I think they played well enough to win. For instance, if the Ginn TD stands and Alex and Braylon are on the same page we would have won 17-16. I'm not big on coulda, woulda and shoulda senarios, but I wanted to point that out because what it does show(to me anyway) is that we are not far behind the Ravens. Those two plays would have drasticly changed the game. I think we played pretty well considering the amount of pressure we were under. In spite of that pressure we hung with them unil the 4th quarter where as in the past we would have imploded and wilted against a team like that. Bottom line, the Ravens D played inspired football. We will learn from that loss and the next time be better because of it.

-Injured Bruce Miller (best pass-protectiong FB in the league)
-Injured Adam Snyder
-Tweaked-out Anthony Davis playing on an ankle injury
-Chilo Rachal
The only thing the rest of the NFL knows (if not already), is that Chilo Rachal is our offensive kryponite.
