With the success we are having now on both sides of the ball, I'm sure Vic and Roman could possibly be interviewed for head coaching jobs. With the success that we've had so far this season, either of them leaving would leave a void once again I think. Maybe not so much on offense as we still have Harbaugh, but maybe the defense. Harbaugh may or may not already have replacements in mind but you can probably beat he's not just going to hire anyone. With our success this year, we might even attract big names in coaching and FA's.
Its not farfetched to hope that these coaches can stick together for a couple more years to keep this fire and consistancy that they've brought to the team this year.
Sorry to think too far ahead.....but was just on my mind today when read a quote from Harbaugh that he hopes his coaching staff (Vic, Roman, Seely) could one day be offered HC jobs. Miami, maybe Washington are some teams in mind that could fire their head coaches at seasons end.

I hope our Coordinators don't leave in the offseason

Ain't happening after one year. If it did I would be pissed and think the league was out to keep the Niners down.

Aren't most open head coaching slots filled by the time the playoffs end (i.e. Superbowl)? Seems to me the only sure way to lock our coordinators up is to go all the way

I don't think our O coordinator will be taken by anybody. But it's real possible our D coordinator could be. When you are good your team gets raided. That's just the way it is. Ideally it would be good to keep things together. But one or both could get offers. People see success and they want a part of it. They want the Harbaugh magic and getting a coordinator will be the closest thing they can get.

i think other teams can interview another team's coordinators month before the playoffs (Dec)...then they're incommunicado...any hire can only be announced after the Super Bowl....
IIRC that's how it wen in '95 when we lost BOTH Mike Shanahan (OC) and Ray Rhodes (DC) to Denver and Philly respectively....what also sucked about that was that such losses also caused collateral damage in terms of players being lured to follow the new HCs to their new teams (Ricky Watters, Ed McCaffery, etc)

I dont think roman is going to leave. He knows he has a good thing going here and wouldnt bail out the first year.
I think fangio doesnt want to be a head coach. But thats just my opinion.

I'm not worried about Roman bolting for at least another 2 years. Fangio could, but I'd be shocked.

Hope your right. One thing this team needs is consistancy with the coaching staff and now that we finally have winners in place, them bailing would hurt the team. Maybe Roman/Fangio would want to leave his boy hanging just yet. I mean Harbaugh brought them to the NFL with him so maybe they have that respect to stick around for a couple years until they win a Superbowl.

Harbaugh was saying in his presser that he has 3 potential HC in Fangio, Roman, and Seely.
Why Jim.... Why....Keep it in house. Say they are good coordinators. Why spotlight them for other teams. We need them here with you for next year.
7 years 7 different OC

I don't think that Fangio will ever leave to be a HC and we can partly thank Harbaugh for that. Teams are going to want to copy cat and will go out and hire young, offensive-minded coaches like Jim.
Fangio is relatively old now in NFL coaching years and don't see him being an attractive option for a team at the moment.

I don't see it happening...
Fangio - been around a long time. If no one was interested then, they won't be anymore interested now. They will look at the Defense he is coaching and look at the Pro Bowl players/potential he inherited.
Roman - Too green. 1st year OC.... maybe in a year or 2.
Seely - Don't get me wrong he's amazing but who hires ST coaches as head coaches?
The ones I would be concerned about would be Jim Tomsula for a DC job & Baalke for a President of Football Ops job.
