Sting operations are set up when any suspicious illegal activy is suspected. When I lived in California there was a massage parlor operating in a strip mall. The cops got wind that they were giving more than massages and set up a sting. They closed it down, arrested several women and the person in charge and grabbed a couple patrons as well. I doubt this sting in Ohio was set up just to catch Jed. Reports said that it was well known site.
