For the love of god someone tell him he pees sitting down, if he responds I will Venmo that person 5 bucks.

NFL coaches, NFL analysts, NFL players who played for Shanny, NFL players who played against shanny: Shanny is a genius and a top coach.

Cohn: Shanny sucks, can't even go heavy personelle and run up the gut in the red zone. Such a simpleton, just run big nickel against him and call it day. He's so lucky that he lucked into Nick Mullens.

He was on 95.7 a few weeks ago saying us resigning Joe Staley is proof that the 49ers aren't serious about winning. Like what?! Because there was definitely a franchise left tackle just waiting for us in the 4th round of the draft LMFAO.

Yeah me too

You'll never guess which San Francisco 49ers writer said this, but there was some discussion on the internet Monday about how Kyle Shanahan is actually bad.

I'm not saying Shanahan doesn't deserve any blame. But woo buddy are you ignoring an awful lot if that's your conclusion.

The writer is ignoring a lot of variables outside of Shanahan's control. You'd think he would go beyond the surface level of Shanahan's overall record, but that's no surprise.

Poor Follower, uh, I mean poor Grant.

But seriously, it's about time this arrogant hack is getting called out.

He's doing exactly what he intends to do. He gets people to read him and complain about him but he laughs all the way to the bank. If nobody read his stuff he would be out of a job. There have been writers throughout the years that have made a good living being controversial and he's just one of many we've had in the bay area. He is like Howard was on Monday night football. People loved him or hated him but they listened and then spent the next day talking about what he said.

I think your point is clearly known and understood by most. It's just a lot more fun to be fanatics and react emotionally to people we view as against us. This message board would be extremely boring otherwise. Hating Cohn(s) is a bonding experience lol
Anyone doesn't accept York being the best ownership is an idiot,
Anyone doesn't accept Kyle being the best coach is an idiot.
Anyone doesn't accept GQ being the QB with best future is an idiot.

Lowell Cohn is guilty of all three, he is 3 times idiot.

So don't read his column. I can't stand Rush Linbaugh so I don't listen but I admit he's successful. There are a lot of writers out there you can read. If you just like to complain about his writing then keep reading and letting him piss you off.

Media is supposed to report on things, not make baseless accusations which are logically and factually false.

Kyle still has a long way to go before proving himself to be a good, let alone GREAT HC. But to make the claim that he's not very good is absurd. To try to call out his scheme is absurd.

That's what makes Grant tick though. I will give him one thing...there are many thin skinned people on twitter who block you in a split second, I still have no idea why Ben Roethlisberger blocked me lol. TK...i know why he blocked me(i think). I've mad many interactions with Grant calling him on his s**t and no block.

He definitely lives off the attention whether negative(usually) or not and I'm pretty sure I have never seen him eat crow when he's wrong...but he's the first one to remind everyone when he's right on something. He's the 49ers media version of Mel Kiper.

Nawwwww. There was a time when Kiper worked his ass off and was pretty well respected, before he turned into a lazy conman, selling draft rankings to agents.

Grant worked hard for about two months, and his been a lazy ass contrarian ever since. His clicks-to-effort ratio isn't bad, but he's impossible to take seriously as a source of info (other than practice clips) on the team.

I was speaking more on the ignore the mistakes and remind everyone about the right calls comparison for Kiper. Grant definitely got this all handed to him and taking full advantage of it going the troll route.

He clearly took some time this past season brushing up on X's and O's so he could do his "breakdowns" but you can tell he's someone who just read about it or talked to people who actually know what they're doing.

His whole idea with Shanahan is stupid. He's calling people out for defending Shanahan and making the comparison to Harbaugh. I called him out on that in that he's easily forgetting where each coach started in terms of talent.

Comparisons between the two are just stupid. There is a huge gap between where Kyle is in terms of X's and O's and where Harbaugh is but it remains to be seen if Kyle matches up to Harbaugh as a HC. I would've LOVED to see Kyle be the HC and playcaller with Vic Fangio as our DC though.

That's one thing McVey has that Kyle couldn't get - a veteran and quality defensive coordinator with HC experience to help. Saleh wasn't Kyle's first choice but he's giving him a chance to prove himself. Hopefully the talent as well as secondary coaching additions help wake up that side of the ball.

On offense I trust Kyle to get production but guys have to stay healthy.

If we're talking scheme I'll trust Kyle much more talent being equal. And I was someone who had major concerns about Kyle as HC(I hated hearing stories from Washington and wanted McDaniels) but despite the issues he hasn't lost the team and they're playing hard for him and the locker room is intact. We'll see what this season brings.

There is always reason for hope this time of year but we have a lot of questions on this team mostly due to youth and injury rehab/concerns and we have to prove that we can win on the football field. Having talent on paper doesn't put those W's up.

We have to go out and get it done. Here's hoping this year we take that giant leap forward.

You're right that the media should use facts when reporting but unfortunately we live in an era where that doesn't sell. Look how many newspapers have had columnists leave and go to a blog or an online site like The Athletic where they have more freedom to say what they want without having an editor tell them that they can't say something. People seem to want gossip and fantastic claims more than plain old reporting. Look how popular the 'reality shows' are on TV. They're about as real as Mickey Mouse but people watch.
