I'm not worried unlike a lot of you so called fans I know you want to peak in late December not August September. Seriously 3rd behind the Cards some of you have no football IQ. Harbaugh will shine this year just make sure your around to let me say I told you so come February. #stacked #some of you are an embarrassment.

Do you realize how pointless that stat is? lol

That means absolutely nothing

Really? So EVERY argument on this board about QBs is b******t, then, since they always bring up time in system.

Fk it. I don't even know why I bother with this board. It always boils down to who's a real fan on this board, and the people who throw out insults instead of discussion. Mods, I'm a banned member. Might as well ban me again.

Don't know if you agree but, this team is the most talented team that Harbaugh has had since he got here..defensively and offensively. I don't think we will implode as a franchise if we don't win it all this year, but there's no question that players and fans alike feel that our time is now.

I admit, I don't want to hear about Next Year..(that probably goes for alot of people here too). The season just started and we're interested in This Year and finally getting our 6th Ring.

Because of our defensive depth and playoff experience, I just don't think the injuries and Ray Mac's legal troubles are so big that our playoff hopes are shot even before the season begins. If Bowman and Smith were gone for the season, I'd be a bit more worried.

This. Something I would add too is Vic Fangio. Guy is a great Defensive Coordinator, which makes all the difference. We may have some new faces out there but he knows how to get the most out of his guys. And if I remember correctly Ian Williams won the job last year over dorsey before he got hurt, so I dont feel like there should be much drop off. Same with Culliver, If I remember right, was slated to start before tearing his ACL. Just think we are set up better this season than people are wanting to give us credit.

He's clearly talking about total passing yards being a meaningless stat, which it is.

I agree with the last part though. If you want to be banned, the mods might as well oblige your request.

Of course it is. Because you want to see it that way. Use your brain and figure out the correlation between a first year system and the QB throwing more yards than any QB in the last half of the season and a 10-6 record.

Really amazing that I have to explain that.

LOL, no. Passing yards is directly proportional to passing attempts. Palmer throws the ball close to 40 times a game. Of course he's going to have a lot of passing yards.

Palmer is exactly who he's always been. 1st year with AZ, or 10th year with Cincy, it didn't matter. Look at his season. Exact same production, as always. QB rating in the low 80's. 4000 yards passing. 20ish TDs, and 20ish INTs. Every year, that's what you get. He's been in the league over 10 years, his time for growth is done.

Speaking of late-season performance, let's do a little comparison from the month of December:

Carson Palmer
5 games
63.3%
1387 yards
8 TDs
7 INTs
86.1 rating

Colin Kaepernick
5 games
61.7%
1160 yards
7 TD
1 INT
101.4 rating

Let me guess, Palmer was better because he had more passing yards? LOL. Passing yards has nothing to do with quarterback EFFICIENCY. Amazing I have to explain that, really.

sofa has taken the high road when he was being baited, i am proud of you, I am not that mentally tough people like carson palmer and rodgers are over rated in my opinion but the media sure does protect them while always throwing shots at our quarterback no matter if it was alex or now ck

Your right don't bother. It's not about being a real fan it's about knowing something about football. If you think Carson Palmer is anything better than a Jeff George wanna be you know nothing. Your one of those pessimistic 49ers fans who will enjoy a win but say I told you so when they lose a game. #grow up.

Passing yards is a meaningless stat, especially leading the league in the 2nd half of the season lol

Wow, so you threw the ball a bunch, great...how many picks did you throw? TDs? Completion &??

Carson Palmer is a very very mediocre at best QB. He's not gonna suddenly become Peyton Manning

you handled it well lol
Anybody that argues for Carson Palmer knows nothing about football. The guy is a pick machine and throws pick after pick in critical situations do you even watch him play or just look at the box score? He throws for tons of yards but how many playoff wins does he have? How many winning seasons has he had? What's his season high in TDs? Elite QBs can take average teams to the playoffs he's far from elite.

Come on man get serious the guy is a prototypical stat QB. Good QBs don't throw more or as many picks as they do TDs. I can't believe you think this guy is good. Lol!!!
