Calm down, man. If you'd stop having such a hissy fit, you may have noticed that I've also legitimately responded to some of your posts. Let's review. You started by posting something like "sorry, but the Niners are going to come in third in their division" as if that was a foregone conclusion and anything to the contrary was homer action. Moreover, when I said I didn't agree, you posted that my opinion didn't mean anything. Now, if you're going to sit there at your keyboard and dish it out like that, you need to be able to take it as well.

Then, you posted that Carson Palmer was one of the reasons why I assume you think they're going to beat the Niners. I've just reminded you that Carson Palmer threw 22 interceptions last season which tied for second most thrown in the entire league and pointed out that he was the 20th rated QB in the league, not exactly what I'd call a scary number. So far, I see that you've absentmindedly forgotten to address that with any objective reason why you think Carson Palmer is going to beat the Niners.

It's statements like this that make me wonder who really posts here since this team got back to elite level.

Neither Gore nor Boldin have said they're ready to retire. They're on the other side of 30 but they're still productive in our system.
We don't have just 1 wide receiver (Johnson), we have several, and the corps is more talented than it was last year.
Bowman didn't retire either, he's hurt and will return at mid-season, just like Aldon Smith, and, Yes, I think they're talented enough to make a significant positive impact the first game they play.
You're right...Glen Dorsey unfortunately is out. Fortunately, we have Ian Williams back, a talented NT that's chomping at the bit to make up for lost time.
Reid and Ward are two young studs on the secondary that make me feel at least as good about the unit as I did last year.
Our pass rush didn't disappear; Aldon is coming back, Brooks is still here and if Lynch can keep his head on straight, he's gonna be a beast.

It's not about homerism or not being realistic, it's about not going along with The Sky Is Falling! mentality that the media loves to create in order to be dramatic.
In the end, you have your opinion and I have mine.
We have some issues, I get it. But every team in this league will deal with similar issues at some point during the season.

Question is-will these teams be talented enough, deep enough, mature enough, well coached enough to weather the storm? As far as the Niners go, I think the answer is Yes.

If I have the niners winning the Super Bowl next year, how is the sky falling?

I swear, if people don't agree on this site, they resort to questioning their fan status or think the opinions come from the media. I, unlike many of those in the media, do not think this is an all or nothing year. I think we will continue to be contenders for as long as JH is the coach.

We all want the niners to win. But REALISTICALLY, we took too big a hit to make the Super Bowl out expectations, when we are going to be in serious jeopardy of even making the playoffs. REALISTICALLY, we're in the toughest division in the NFL, which means, even if we take 3rd and miss the playoffs, we can still be a contender for the next decade. AZ just missed the playoffs with a record better than 90% of teams in the NFL. Does that mean they're not a contender because they took 3rd in the division last year?

Look at it with objectivity for once. Not just you, everyone.
I agree that we're definitely in the toughest division in the league. I just try to remember that every team takes some hits during an NFL season. The Seahawks and Cardinals aren't anymore guaranteed against injury or off field issues than we are.

Don't know if you agree but, this team is the most talented team that Harbaugh has had since he got here..defensively and offensively. I don't think we will implode as a franchise if we don't win it all this year, but there's no question that players and fans alike feel that our time is now.

I admit, I don't want to hear about Next Year..(that probably goes for alot of people here too). The season just started and we're interested in This Year and finally getting our 6th Ring.

Because of our defensive depth and playoff experience, I just don't think the injuries and Ray Mac's legal troubles are so big that our playoff hopes are shot even before the season begins. If Bowman and Smith were gone for the season, I'd be a bit more worried.

No, you labeled me a "Niner fan," which is an ad-hominem attack, which negates your argument.

Then, I posted Carson Palmer is one of the reasons the Cardinals will take second in our division. Even if we beat the Cards, they can still make the playoffs while we miss them... Just like last year how they beat Seattle and missed the playoffs. And I've already discussed Palmer, multiple times. Sure, he threw some INT's, but Flacco's Ravens went 8-8, whereas Palmer's Cardinals went 10-6... Additionally, Palmer had a higher completion rate on more attempts than even Kap, with a QB rating within 5 points of him... so... that point is really moot.

I didn't dish anything to you except my opinion, then proceeded to list numerous times why we'd miss the playoffs to multiple different people. It's all there, you can go back and read it at any time.

And you continued to insult me. If you want to DISCUSS this, I have no problem with that. But if you're going to act childish and be a dick, it's not worth my time.

I agree that our healthy, unsuspended roster is one of the best in the league, but our DBs worry me.

I think the offense is going to have to step it up, BIG TIME, this year, especially the first half of the season, in order to have any shot at making the playoffs, because our defense is going to give up more points than we did last year. I mean here's the schedule the first half of the season:

Cowboys, Bears, Cards, Eagles, Chiefs, Rams, Broncos.

The Rams are the only team on that list I'm not worried about putting up 30 points a game. The 'Boys might not have a great defense, but they have a pretty potent offense... The Bears are going to have a pretty good year offensively, the Eagles are ridiculously high powered, the Chiefs have a killer run game and the QB we can't mention, and the Broncos......

That's a pretty tough schedule for a defense missing key players... AZ missed the playoffs with a 10-6... I can realistically see us losing six games in just the first half of the season if the Offense can't keep up.

Someone tell satellite ears to stfu.
This forum is stupid sometimes.
Tony Dungy also said a few years back, that we should have traded both our 1st rounders for QB Donovan McNabb. And i rest my case.

But he threw for sooooo many yards. I think NFL should get rid of the points system and go with the team who's QB throws for the most yards.

They should also make a rule where if you throw an INT, you automatically lose the game.

But then the Cards would suck and your argument would be invalrod.

Just like yours and other dude's.

Sorry, but we're the only team in the division to get worse in the offseason.

Dockett, Dansby, Washington??? Not to mention Carson palmer is still there and yet they're going to finish ahead of the Niners

THANK YOU

lmao, no one mentions how the cardinals lost 3 huge pieces to their defense. oh and they still have carson palmer who is f**king terrible.

Carson Palmer threw for more yards than any QB over the last half of the season in his first year in Arians offense...

And their defense is still pretty stout... With one of the best defensive backfields in the game...

Their defense also lost their best DL for the season.
Seattle lost their best interior linemen, and Green Bay looked good when pounding it down the middle, but for some reason they kept trying to run outside.

So far our offense is pretty much in tacked. Aldon and Bowman are out but Aldons replacements did fairly well. Willis is taking over Bowmans spot so there's no drop there. So the back up is taking Willis' old spot and won't be on the field during our nickel package anyways. So no real drop there. I expect the defense to have little to no drop off
This stuff is ridiculous what is it with all this fear going on in our fanbase and i am not just talking about folks in this forum. Say what you want about seacock fans but at least they arent sitting around talking about missing the playoffs. The media saying it is one thing but now our people are saying the same i don't know if the media is getting to people or what.

We are finally good again after years of obscurity with one of the most talented rosters even without Aldon and Bowman. People really believe we could lose to the Cardinals. Crabs owns Patrick Pusserson, Palmer "lol" and they are missing two of their best defensive players. Our team was better before what changed? People need to stop paying so much attention to preseason football and the media.

We went 4-0 with Dingleberry and did not do s**t in the season other then suck. s**t people lets ride together and support the team f**k what everyone else is saying. Apologies for the long post just tired of the Niners getting dogged so much.
We are getting number 6 this year haters. Not sure how we got worse this offseason. That's right we didn't. Aldon and Bowman will be back by the Seahawks game. I'm not worried unlike a lot of you so called fans I know you want to peak in late December not August September. Seriously 3rd behind the Cards some of you have no football IQ. Harbaugh will shine this year just make sure your around to let me say I told you so come February. #stacked #some of you are an embarrassment.
