In a crazy kinda way I actually feel our secondary is better this year. The loss of Aldon & Bowman are obviously HUGE and devastating but this will test our character, our resolve OUR DEPTH. We need Lemon and Wilhoite to fill in and DO THEIR JOB. We also need the offense to put people away by scoring 31 points a game. We'll be fine.

Sorry, but we're the only team in the division to get worse in the offseason.

No need to apologize "Niner fan." You're entitled to your opinion. Just remember, it's only an opinion. Here's another opinion: the Cards lost two of their best run stoppers and pass rushers, the Rams lost their starting QB, Seattle has a lot less depth on defense and the Niners added heavy depth on the D line, the deepest receiving corps they have had in years and new running back who looks like the real deal.

So, I don't agree with your opinion.

Dockett, Dansby, Washington??? Not to mention Carson palmer is still there and yet they're going to finish ahead of the Niners

Palmer threw for more yards than any qb in the last part of his first season in Arian's system...

And your non agreement means nothing. Being a "niner fan" doesn't mean I have to be blind to the rest of the division or league.

Their best runner Ellington is out possibly a month, too. That hurts more than any of the defensive players IMO.
How do you guys know that Arizona doesn't have capable back ups to replace their lost starters just like we do?! Or is this just all homerism?!

He's seeing a local specialist. He may not miss any time. Dwyer averages 4.0 YPC, so not really a big deal...

Wait. Other teams have backups? Blasphemy!

Keep talking...keep picking against this team. I hope it lasts all year!

He also had more turnovers than TDs

The 49ers haven't even played one game and the sky is already falling...

Obviously missing my point.

You act as if I want them to miss the playoffs. It's just being realistic. Gore and Boldin are ready to retire, Johnson isn't going to be the passing game savior... He's past his prime. Bowman is the best player in the league. You think we can replace him that easily? Smith is going to retire soon, Dorsey's out, Ray Mac probably going to be suspended, our secondary is shaky...

With the emphasis on PI calls this year, no pass rush, and a shaky secondary, it's very difficult to see this team make it to the playoffs, as much as you or I want them too.

How is the sky falling? Just because we don't make the playoffs this year doesn't mean the sky is falling... I have us winning the Super Bowl at home next year... We just got hit hard this offseason, that's all.
