Which is probably more likely than ever truly being compared to Young or Montana.

Interesting thread though, I appreciate someone taking the time to actually put his performance into factual perspective.

Bring out the checkbook. We need to sign Alex to a 13 year extension. And cut Gore, V. Davis, and Willis while we're at it. Run offense and our defense have been the weak points of our team.
Good post with facts. If ASmith keeps playing well, especially w/no interceptions he can carve a legacy for himself.

Really? That's why Montana is the best ever because he won 4 games? Ah jeezz what ever? Youngsters and the block head media irritate me so much .
What a gigantic reading comprehension fail by the Smith critics...

At least they are consistent!
yeah and they have superbowl rings and alex smith doesnt
Alex hasn't broke the 2,900 yard mark once so far. I'm going to take a guess and say Joe Montana's record is pretty safe.

if you run a franchise for 14 years chances are you'll own all the franchise records. That's not ground breaking material there.

I read it but what's the point of posting something so absurd.
