Joshua Morgan is the key to our passing game. Remember the last time he played we scored 48 points & we haven't gotten anything close to that since then.

Vernon Davis was one of the people carrying him off the field. This is a contract year for him, and we have the players beginning to believe in the new regime. If we were to resign him now, it would show the players that we are returning to the days of old where the organization worked more like a family. Show all of them we take care of our own, and everyone plays harder and stays committed.
That's your argument for getting him resigned? I was expecting something about YAC or % drops or YPC or YPG or something like that.

If he's healthy, resign to a modest contract.
If that leg is iffy, let him test the market.
We love him now that he's on the bench but I didn't see all this love when he was out on the field.

We draft a #1 wr in the 1st round
We resign Morgan
We let Edwards go
Starting next year: Crabs and drafter wr on outside with Williams in the slot and Mogan coming off the bench in 4 wr set packages.
Now that would be a very nice wr corp!

Crabtree attending his first TC would help tremendously

Morgan is the Dwight Clark on this team. He doesn't have great speed but he does use his body better than any other receiver on the team. He also reads and adjusts his routes better than anyone else. When a play breaks down, he tracks the QB and works to find the open space. He is also a VERY good blocker. His absence has hurt this team more than many people realize.
Dwight Clark never made the Pro Bowl but the pre-Jerry Rice 49ers would never have succeeded without him.

I think Williams can be that guy. He just need more playing time. Clark did made 2 PB by the way
