They will sign him he won't require a big contract. Average player

Vernon Davis was one of the people carrying him off the field. This is a contract year for him, and we have the players beginning to believe in the new regime. If we were to resign him now, it would show the players that we are returning to the days of old where the organization worked more like a family. Show all of them we take care of our own, and everyone plays harder and stays committed.

Harbaugh stated his clear desire to re-sign Morgan . . . that should be good enough for now.
What about the rest of the interview? What did he say? Anything good? How long was it?

I disagree.

He was just starting to get better and Harbaugh and others eluded to that. That's why Harbaugh personally mentioned he's a priority signing.

You're not a priority if you're average.

C'mon Sus!!!!!

PS I do agree about the contract in that it won't break the bank, but it will be fair for sure.

family is nice, but even Bill Walsh was cut throat, nothing personal, just business. Got rid of Wendall Tyler-knees, got rid Freddy Solomon, got rid of Charles Young, etc., they were still productive, but years and injuries were a concern and they didn't have a cap back then. Lets just wait and see. We got rid of Lott and Rice and Montana.

Those are tough because they truly wanted to play more years as starters. Given the talent level and depth at the time, regrettably we saw them leave. If they would stay as backups, then that's another story. But no great wants to be a back up.

Still, it sucked!!!!

Wasn't too long. You can see why everyone calls Crash tree shy. Doesn't do very good in front pf the camera. Asked what Harbaugh does different he said he is more like a hype guy. Said Alex is better because he is more confident and that in turn makes players more confident in him.

Come on dude teams aren't exactly busting down the door to sign the Josh Morgans of the world.

He will be back and continue to be average.

The reason JH mentioned him is because he is probably a good team guy not because he's an all pro in the making.

You just love to go against me. Lol

"Crack that whip!"

Nah man, I really disagree about the average label. There was a reason he started on the other side while Ginn AND Edwards shared the starting job. He's perfect for this offense and has repeatedly demonstrated great skill this year at catching, running routes and his forte, blocking. He looked so much better this year.

Now is he a Crabs or Edwards, no, not elite per say. But, he certainly is not average. But, it's more of a POV than anything else from a label stand point so it's not a big deal.

It's just another opportunity to say

All true, however none of those situations apply to Joshua Morgan. All of those players had already seen their prime years. Letting go of Morgan at this point would be like letting go of Roger Craig in 1984, RIGHT before the player is about to break out.
He will get an extension, more than he makes now, probably not as much as he is worth, because he will be coming off injury.

There are a lot of average players starting and playing a lot in the NFL. Morgan is a team player. When Crabtree signed late as a rookie Morgan stayed during the bye week with Alex and Crabs and helped teach him the offense full well knowing that he might lose his starting position. That is the kind of hard worker every team needs and has. He also is the best blocker of the Wr group. Josh Morgan 52 527 10.1 3(09) Josh Morgan 44 698 15.9 2 (10) you have to have guys on your team that will work hard and do the things that are best for the team that the FANS do not see because all they want to see are big plays and big stats. There are 1950 so players in the nfl and only 20 to 30 all pro's so there have to be a lot of lunch pail type guys and that is Morgan. He should be resigned and probably will be to a contract that won't hurt the teams future but will pay him for his dedication and hard work.
